This is the first tenor piece of mini from my new octagon series 3-D printed mouthpieces. They are phenomenal and such a phenomenal price for original design, proprietary octagon chamber design, hand finished, mouthpieces! Hand finished by Brian Powell and Erik Greiffenhagen.  Trying to keep the price down for everybody because of all the gouging that’s going on in the mouthpiece world these days! It’s insanity out there.  I have an alto mouthpiece, and this tenor mouthpiece to start, and there will be many other models as time goes on. The goal with this tenor mouthpiece was to make something with a big sound that was classic sounding, and very focused! I wanted something with the focus of Pharoah and Trane with a big sound so that it didn’t feel stifled at all. Listen to the sound clips and you can hear how different these are from the other 3-D printed mouthpieces you see being offered elsewhere. I design for sound, and have no interest in copying all the same vintage mouthpieces that you see everyone else copying. We can make better designs today! Stop being fooled, thinking the vintage mouthpieces were something special and magical when we can design better mouthpieces today. Those mouthpieces were simply the mouthpieces of that time and thats it. That’s why all the guys we listen to played on them. That’s just what was available at the time.
