Based on the award-winning book by Chicago musician-author Jim Gill, May There Always Be Sunshine celebrates children’s thoughts and dreams. In this free CSO for Kids virtual program, premiering Jan. 22 on CSOtv, Gill joins five Chicago Symphony brass musicians and soprano Melinda Alberty to give voice to the words and wishes of children nationwide. Presented by the CSO's Negaunee Music Institute and the Chicago Public Library, the program invigorates the book through illustrations and music, including an excerpt from Mussorgsky’s ever-popular Pictures at an Exhibition.
