What is the popping or cracking sound during a chiropractic adjustment? Cracking your neck.

submitted by Doctor Multimedia on 06/27/23 1

Today Dr. Fisher offers a fun tip on how you can educate your patients on what the popping sound is during an adjustment or spinal manipulation...."cavitation" is that scary popping/cracking sound you hear during adjustments. Children will be able to understand the physics behind how and why you hear the popping or cracking sound during an adjustment. Cavitation is the suction release between bones that are stuck together in the spine before they are released by your chiropractor's treatment which restores normal motion and position of your spinal bones. Cracking and popping of the bones is not damaging the spine....it's natural and it feels good. #cracking the back #cracking the spine # popping bones #chiropractic adjustment #popping the spine
