Have your staff inform patients they will need X-rays on their first visit if they have a spinal condition or your doctor will not be able to adjust them safely. Do not go to a chiropractor that doesn't take x-rays or require x-rays before they start pushing on your spine attempting spinal manipulation. Prevent injuries by taking x-rays on patient's spines before you start adjusting them. Justify your treatment, protect your patient and protect yourself by taking x-rays on all new patients with spinal related conditions before your start manupulating their spines. If a mechanic doesn't start working on a car until he looks under the hood why would you start adjusting your patient's spines without seein what their spine looks like through x-rays. X-rays are safe, inexpensive and incredibly helpful at diagnosing many contra-indications to spinal manipulation. Ask your chiropractor why they don't take x-rays. If your chiropractor can't afford x-ray in their office go find another chiropractor who is more successful and can afford to protect his or her patients with a machine that can save your life! What's safer getting adjusted blind or seeing what you're going to push on in the spine before you do it? X-ray exposure is no reason to not take X-rays unless youre pregnant but hospitals will x-ray pregnant moms if it's necessary. It's more dangerous to get adjusted without x-rays than to have x-rays taken. In 30 years Dr Fisher has never had a malpractice claim filed against him because he x-rayed virtually all of his new patients or required them to bring in films before he adjusted them. Corrective care needs x-rays to see how your spine needs to be corrected.
