Last year saw the publication of These Are the Hands – Poems from the Heart of the NHS, a book of poems by and for NHS staff, describing the work of care and bringing to life moments of joy and pain, among many others. During this session we heard powerful and moving poems about work in the NHS, and discussed with the poets what writing about the work of care means to them.
