Step 1: First of all, install VMware 17 Pro from the link below to run a virtual computer on your Windows 10 computer. Video ➦ www.youtube.com/watch?v=uwnDTSYhgG8 Step 2: After installing #VMware Pro, download the Windows 98 ISO file used in this video tutorial from the link below. ➦ bit.ly/DownloadWindows98 Step 3: After downloading the Microsoft 98 ISO file to your computer, run the VMware virtualization program. Step 4: Click Create a New Virtual Machine from the options on Workstation Pro's homepage. Step 5: In the New Virtual Machine Wizard window, select Custom (Advanced) to configure the virtual computer with more advanced settings and click Next. Step 6: In the VMware VM compatibility window, select the version of Workstation (5.x) installed on your computer and then click the Next button. Step 7: In the guest operating system selection window to prepare the VM first, click Next with I will install the operating system later selected. Step 8: Select "Windows 98" in the Guest Operating System window and click Next. Step 9: In the Name and Platform window, type a name for your old operating system and choose a location on your external hard drive for the installation location or use the default location. Step 10: In the Firmware Type window, select BIOS for Win98 and continue. Step 11: In the Processor window, set 1 processor for the Win98 virtual machine and continue. Step 12: In the Memory window, select 1 GB, which is the maximum size of RAM Windows 98 can support. Step 13: In the Network Type window, select the NAT network type to use a different IP block from your host's IP block and continue. Step 14: In the I/O Controller Types window, select the BusLogic disk controller and click Next. Step 15: Select the IDE disk type in the Select a Disk Type window and click Next. NOTE: If you want to install the driver for devices such as audio or USB in your Windows 98 virtual machine, you must select the IDE for the virtual disk type. Because when changing the hardware compatibility setting of the virtual machine in order to determine the hardware, SATA disks fail. If you are still going to install it on the SATA disk, when you want to install the drivers, you need to open the VMDK file with Notepad and change the adapterType from lsilogic to ide. To install audio and USB drivers in Windows 98, refer to our video tutorial: www.youtube.com/watch?v=ltoAI_UGBPs Step 16: In the Select a Disk window, select Create a New Virtual Disk and click Next to create a new disk for a clean operating system installation. Step 17: In the Specify Disk Capacity window, configure the size of the virtual disk for Windows 98 and check the Store virtual disk option to back up as a single file type instead of multiple files on your host and continue. Step 18: After creating a new virtual machine for Windows 98, add the ISO file you downloaded to your computer to the virtual machine. Step 19: Start the VM by clicking the Power on this virtual machine button, and at the boot screen, press the Boot from Hard Disk CD-ROM option, then press Enter on the Start Windows 98 Setup from CD-ROM. After the installation has started, follow our video tutorial to install Win98 on the VM. Step 20: After installing the Windows 98 system, click on VM / Install VMware Tools from the menu. When the setup wizard opens, click Next and then select the setup type as Complete to install VM Tools and restart your VM for the changes to take effect. Step 21: After installing VMware Tools, you can transfer files between your host and your virtual machine and use the host's hardware. ───────────────RELATED VIDEOS─────────────── ➊ How to Install Windows XP ➦ www.youtube.com/watch?v=slaTdCwLMTM ➋ How to Install Windows Me ➦ www.youtube.com/watch?v=CPxbB1eDtPk ➌ How to Install Windows 2000 ➦ www.youtube.com/watch?v=XQvBNlg-ZhE ➍ How to Install Windows 10 ➦ www.youtube.com/watch?v=pNObdp7kiA8 ───────────────FOLLOW US─────────────────── ✔ Facebook ➦ www.facebook.com/SysnettechSolutions/ ✔ Twitter ➦ twitter.com/SysnettechS/ ███████████████████████████████████████████
