The 10th Avenue SE Bridge in Minneapolis is a critical transportation element that crosses over the Mississippi River and is near the University of Minnesota. Each day, the 90-year-old bridge carries ~10,000 vehicles and hundreds of bicyclists and pedestrians. In dire need of rehabilitation, the City, SEH and a number of teaming partners worked in close collaboration to preserve and restore the historic 2,000+ ft. structure. In this video, SEH Project Manager Mark Maves highlights multimodal design features, historic preservation efforts and the impact the fortified bridge will have on the City for decades to come.
