In a back-and-forth game, Syracuse pulled away at home 67-58 over Wake Forest to secure its first conference win of the season. Though the Deacs’ defense held Cuse to just 35% shooting as a team, it was another standout performance for Dyaisha Fair, who was the only member of the Orange to get past the 10-point mark in a 25-point outing. Asia Strong finished with a double-double, putting up 10 points and 11 rebounds in the victory. Demeara Hinds was tops for Wake in scoring with 14 points to go with 6 rebounds and 3 blocks.
