No. 5 Notre Dame pulled away late from No. 6 Virginia Tech on the road to earn its first conference win of the season, 63-52. The Fighting Irish defense was relentless, forcing the Hokies into just 29% shooting from the floor. Olivia Miles led Notre Dame in points (16) rebounds (13) and assists (7) while also swiping 5 steals in what was a terrific game. Lauren Ebo put up 15 points and 5 rebounds, while Sonia Citron and Maddy Westbeld contributed 11 and 10 points respectively. The Hokies’ Georgia Amoore led all scorers with 20 points, and Elizabeth Kitley put up 16 points and pulled down 20 rebounds.
