Through this series we're going to learn about some practical things we can do as followers of Jesus to engage our neighbors. - - - ✏️ MESSAGE NOTES: B - Begin with prayer L - Listen E - Eat S - Serve S - Story 1: SEEK OPPORTUNITIES TO EAT As Jesus went on from there, he saw a man named Matthew sitting at the tax office, and he said to him, “Follow me,” and he got up and followed him. 10 While he was reclining at the table in the house, many tax collectors and sinners came to eat with Jesus and his disciples. 11 When the Pharisees saw this, they asked his disciples, “Why does your teacher eat with tax collectors and sinners?” 12 Now when he heard this, he said, “It is not those who are well who need a doctor, but those who are sick. 13 Go and learn what this means: I desire mercy and not sacrifice. For I didn’t come to call the righteous, but sinners.” {Matthew 9:9-13} 2: SEEK OPPORTUNITIES TO SERVE 4 So he got up from supper, laid aside his outer clothing, took a towel, and tied it around himself. 5 Next, he poured water into a basin and began to wash his disciples’ feet and to dry them with the towel tied around him. {John 13:4-5} 3: SEEK OPPORTUNITIES TO SHARE YOUR STORY 38 The man from whom the demons had departed begged him earnestly to be with him.
