Through this series we're going to learn about some practical things we can do as followers of Jesus to engage our neighbors. - - - ✏️ MESSAGE NOTES: B - Begin with prayer L - Listen E - Eat S - Serve S - Story 1: PRAY FOR YOUR NEIGHBORS 12 During those days he went out to the mountain to pray and spent all night in prayer to God. 13 When daylight came, he summoned his disciples, and he chose twelve of them, whom he also named apostles: 14 Simon, whom he also named Peter, and Andrew his brother; James and John; Philip and Bartholomew; 15 Matthew and Thomas; James the son of Alphaeus, and Simon called the Zealot; 16 Judas the son of James, and Judas Iscariot, who became a traitor. {Luke 6:12-16} 2: LISTEN TO THEIR HEART TO DISCOVER THE NEEDS 35 As he approached Jericho, a blind man was sitting by the road begging. 36 Hearing a crowd passing by, he inquired what was happening. 37 “Jesus of Nazareth is passing by,” they told him. 38 So he called out, “Jesus, Son of David, have mercy on me!” 39 Then those in front told him to keep quiet, but he kept crying out all the more, “Son of David, have mercy on me!” 40 Jesus stopped and commanded that he be brought to him.
