Apple iPhone 14 Pro Max Unboxing

The largest Apple smartphone is bulky and heavy, but it has a super-bright 6.7-inch LTPO display, a fast processor, and, most importantly, a much larger battery than the smaller Pro model, which also has a 48 MP triple camera. Read our review to see if the steep surcharge is justified. Apple's largest smartphone has now entered the fray, carrying over the same concept as last year's tried and tested iPhone 13 Pro Max. The larger display is the main focus of attention when compared to the smaller iPhone 14 Pro. However, unlike previous years, the cameras are now identical, and the Max has a significant advantage. Apple has also raised the price of the large model significantly, with the smallest storage configuration (128 GB) starting at EUR 1,449 (US$ 1099) and going up to EUR 2,099 (US$ 1599) for 1 TB. We believe that paying an extra $100 for a larger display is excessive. In this review, we'll look at what the iPhone 14 Pro Max has to offer. Even when placed next to another smartphone with a similarly sized display, the Apple iPhone 14 Pro Max appears massive. The heavy weight of 240 grams reinforces this impression, and Apple was even brave enough to add another two grams to the scales. Despite its weight, the smartphone feels good in the hand because it is not too top-heavy. The craftsmanship is superb. The gaps are even and very close, and the haptics is excellent. Durable glass protects the front and back, and the frame is made of highly polished stainless steel. The front glass is extremely fingerprint-prone, whereas those on the matte back of our gold model are barely visible. Torsional rigidity is desirable, but there was some audible creaking inside the iPhone during twisting attempts. The Apple iPhone 14 Pro Max ships with iOS 16, which for the first time includes Dynamic Island and Always-On Display (AOD) features. The former is a software solution for hiding punch holes and displaying information from running apps in a compact, optical manner. In everyday use, we really like it and find it especially useful. So far, the function has mostly been limited to Apple's own apps, but the interface is also available to other app developers. The iPhone also receives a customizable AOD. Nothing revolutionary, but it is very useful and well-implemented. You can read about all of iOS 16's new features here. If Dynamic Island is not active, the punch holes are hidden in the screenshots.
