Dessinant une série de courbes au-dessus de la Terre (image présente sur la pochette de l’EP) qui nous rappelle que les mathématiques et la géométrie sacrée sont présentes tout autour de nous. Un morceau quelque part entre Kendrick Lamar et Bon Iver. Il y a une atmosphère sombre dans la première moitié de la chanson tandis que la conclusion est beaucoup plus légère. Un appel à ouvrir les yeux sur la beauté et le mystère de notre environnement et à s’interroger plutôt que de prétendre connaître les réponses. “Pentagram” was born from the fascinating discovery of the Pentagram of Venus, a geometrical form tracing the path of Venus and the Sun over the course of 21 years, as seen from above the Earth (that pattern is present on the cover of Goldencut’s EP “Room to Breathe”). The song evokes a meeting between Kendrick Lamar and Bon Iver. There is a dark atmosphere to the first half of the song while the conclusion is much lighter. It is a reminder that math and sacred geometry are present all around us. The song is a call to open our eyes to the beauty and mystery of our surroundings. And to ask questions.
