Make your gift at www.yu.edu/dec3 Get involved and give back to YU by participating in our Giving Tuesday campaign! We have a day devoted to giving thanks. We have two days for shopping and getting deals. And in 2012 #GivingTuesday was launched to celebrate the act of giving. What is #GivingTuesday? #GivingTuesday is a national movement transforming the way people think about, talk about and participate in the giving season. In the same way that Black Friday and Cyber Monday launch the holiday retail season, #GivingTuesday unites the philanthropic community to kick-off the "giving" season. Approximately one-third of all philanthropic gifts are made each year in the month of December. So it makes sense to create a day that inspires personal philanthropy and service to repair the world one person, organization or corporation at a time. Last year more than 2,500 organizations in all 50 states partnered for the first #GivingTuesday. As of October 20, 2013 more than 3,300 non-profits, including over 95 universities have joined in to promote #GivingTuesday. Why #GivingTuesday at YU? Consider the following: Tuition covers 67% of the cost of educating a YU undergrad. And close to 80% of all students receive some measure of scholarship support. The Yeshiva University Annual Fund bridges the gap between tuition and income generated by the YU endowment. Close to 33% of Annual Fund gifts are used to fund unrestricted undergraduate scholarship support. This year, Yeshiva University will join the movement and participate in #GivingTuesday on December 3, 2013, the sixth day of Hanukkah. Join the Movement! Take Action! This Hanukkah, YOU can make a difference. This Hanukkah, give the gift of scholarship on #GivingTuesday ***We do not own the rights to any music used in this video***
