Boston, NY (Small Town WNY PBS-TV Series - Podcast #1.8) My guest today is the historian for the town of Boston. I asked Frank to come onto the podcast as I think Boston is a bit of a mystery to many WNYer's along with Springville, Marilla, Colden and a few others down in this area. If you don't live there or have friends or family there, you probably rarely have ventured into the town. Well, OK, maybe you've stopped off for gas off of the 219 on your way to parts south, but next time you do, try taking the 277 down through the entirety of the town all the way through to Springville for a real treat. Especially in Fall. I promise, you won't be disappointed. From my very first drive through the town and hills and valleys there, I got a dead-on Vermont vibe that continually surprised me around every corner. Frank helped clarify the town's history a bit and offered some great antidotes throughout our conversation and perfectly illustrated how much history the town has. Boston offers some truly unique WNY businesses and experiences and I highly recommend taking a short drive to the town when you get the chance. ________________________________________________________________ ✅ Enjoyed this video? Augustine Media: A. A. Augustine's Media Co. is, was and always will be a small, fiercely independent, social media free media company that was initially, only created to produced public and commercial kids television shows along with it's peripheral products including the very popular book, DVD and handmade doll series featuring Sequoia "The Littlest Bigfoot". But after spending15 years traveling through hundreds of small towns in southern New England while I was recording and producing bands for my indie record label and then, almost 5 years later, through literally, all of Northern California selling regional "Mom & Pop" sponsorships for the kids' TV shows as well as opening up new retail accounts for our products, it became all too clear to me just how much I cared about small towns and small-town America. #smalltownwny #smalltowns #wny #buffalo #newyork #travel #localtravel travel, relocate, move to, small town life, small town, small towns in america, small towns, best small towns, best small town vacations, small towns to visit, best small town vacation spots, small town vacations, small town road trip Disclaimer: We do not accept any liability for any loss or damage which is incurred from you acting or not acting as a result of reading any of our publications. SMALL TOWN NY: Fresh off the hot-heels of the pandemic and my initial PBS travel show, "Discovering WNY", "Small Town NY" is my second PBS series that finds me exploring small towns throughout the entire state. And while you'll still find the more popular destinations on the show, I'll mostly be digg'n deep and "Discovering" the lesser-known and off-the-beaten-path small towns that I believe, truly deserve a visit or two. Here on my YouTube channel you'll also be able to see all the episodes from my 4 older TV shows: DISCOVERING WNY: The first version of the show was an interstitial (between the shows) PBS series that primarily featured small WNY towns, while the older show was a half-hour, small business profile series featuring local "Mom & Pop Shops" on 4 WNY commercial stations. SUPER KIDS SHOW: These are my three retro-style, 1950s-1970s influenced shows kids TV series that were eventually combined into one awesome show called "The Kids Super Show" that continued until 2017 when I began producing regional travel shows. www.aaaugustine.com
