To Egypt With Love,,, the legacy of the Jewish community in Egypt, “Expelled,” was the judgment call. They had ten days to leave. And leave many did: between 25,000 and 30,000 Jews, as well as British and French nationals who found themselves evicted for the role France, Israel, and the United Kingdom played against Nasser’s nationalization of the Suez canal. I had a chance to talk to the author Viviane Bowell... she lives in UK... This was a moving story especially same time as my brother who just passed away.. I couldn't go and stand by his hospital bed, still can't visit to attend his funeral.. and the state department advised me not to go.. " We can't protect in Egypt" was the explanation..
