In this video I'll show you how to make dutch oven sourdough bread. We will be looking at how to use your dutch oven, no parchment paper required. First I'll be discussing the advantages and disadvantages of using a dutch oven. In the second part I'll demonstrate the technique how to use your dutch oven for your sourdough. I like this method since no parchment paper is needed! The dutch oven is excellent to trap steam that's created while the bread heats up. That way your bread rises more as the crust is formed later. It's really simple and provides consistent great results. 1. Preheat the dutch oven for 30 minutes to max temperature 2. Place the lid on the banneton 3. Flip the lid around 4. Score the bread 5. Bake for half the time lid covered 6. Remove the lid after half the time Optionally you can even spray the loaf with some additional water before baking. You can also spray the inside of the dutch oven with some water to add more steam. The dutch oven really became a consistent technique for me to create amazing bread.
