Step 1: First, install the latest version of Oracle VM VirtualBox software on your Windows computer. Step 2: After installing #VirtualBox, run it and open the virtual machine wizard by clicking the New icon on its homepage. Step 3: After opening the Create Virtual Machine wizard, type the name of the operating system you will install in the Name field. Also, verify your system's platform from the Type and Version section. Step 4: Configure a minimum RAM size of 4 GB for your Linux Mint virtual computer. Step 5: Create a new virtual hard disk in the Hard Disk configuration. Step 6: Select default VDI (VirtualBox Disk Image) as HDD file type. Step 7: Choose to backup your virtual HDD using dynamically expanding disk structure on your physical computer. Step 8: Configure the virtual disk size of your Linux Mint virtual machine and leave its location at default. Step 9: After creating your Linux virtual computer, open its settings. Step 10: Enable Shared Clipboard and Drag and Drop features from the General / Advanced settings of the virtual machine. Step 11: Uninstall floppy from the devices in the boot order from the system settings and configure the optical drive as the primary device. Step 12: Open the virtual processor settings and configure an appropriate number of virtual processors according to the power of your host. Step 13: After enabling 3D acceleration in the display settings, change the video memory to 128 MB. Step 14: View the storage devices and delete the IDE controller. Then select the SATA controller and enable the Host I/O Cache feature. Step 15: Configure the VDI virtual disk file as Solid-State Drive. Step 16: With SATA Controller selected, add a new optical drive and add the Linux Mint ISO file to the virtual machine. Step 17: Click on the USB hardware and tick USB 3.0 (xHCI) so that you can use USB 3.x devices on your Linux virtual computer. Step 18: After configuring the Linux Mint virtual machine, run it.
