Musical Four Corners: Rhythm Level 1– no-prep music activity for elementary music

submitted by MrsHiggs on 03/17/22 1

This fun and interactive game can be used for review, assessment, or simply as a way to practice quarter more, eighth notes, and quarter rest. Sample game directions: Whole group— 1. Label four corners (or zones) if you room 1-4 2. Show the video and when you see “make your choice!” kids will move to the number of the correct answer. 3. Kids can keep track of their own points and try to have the most points by the end of the game. Individual or small group— 1. Divide class into groups (if desired), and give each group a whiteboard or piece of paper. *You can also do this without materials 2. Show the video and when you see “make your choice!” students must write down the correct number on their board/paper and show it. This is a great way to assess students individually in a low pressure environment. *If you’d like to do this game without any materials, have students show the number of their fingers.
