This piece is based on a childhood memory of a Chinese American growing up in the South: "When I was in fourth grade, we studied the American Civil War. My teacher told us to ask our parents which side of the war our ancestors fought on. Of course, I didn’t need to ask. I knew my answer (or lack thereof) would be unlike most everyone else in my class. As a yellow-skinned Asian, I couldn’t figure out where, or if, I belonged." ~李凯妮 Kerry Lee, Choreographer * 亚特兰大中华舞蹈社 Atlanta Chinese Dance Company October 19-20, 2019 Infinite Energy Theater Choreography: 李凯妮 Kerry Lee Dancers: Kerry Lee (Yellow); Tia Bi, Tiffany Morgan, Rachel Puvvada, Alan Thao, Sebastian Thao (Black); Megan Dacey-Koo, Sofia Drescher, Christabel Flagg, Lillian Freed, Camille Gough, Isabelle Grala, Zoe Rumbaugh (White) Video by PointeDVD
