Weed control using landscape fabric and mulch - UC IPM

submitted by Ching Yang on 03/10/22 1

Most landscape plantings include turfgrass, bedding plants, herbaceous perennials, shrubs, and trees. The great variety of species and soil types creates the need for a variety of weed management options. A common technique to suppress weed growth is the use of mulch. The most common types of mulch are bark and other wood products and black plastic or landscape fabric materials. This video shows how to install a landscape fabric topped by an organic mulch.
