Step 1: Run #VirtualBox and click New from the menu on its homepage. Step 2: After typing the name of the operating system you will install in the Name field, the values in the Type and Version sections will be changed automatically. Again, if you encounter any problems, you can change these settings manually. Step 3: For the #Ubuntu virtual machine, choose an appropriate size from your host RAM or a minimum size of 4 GB. Step 4: Choose to create a new virtual hard disk for a clean system installation. Step 5: Select VDI (VirtualBox Disk Image) as the HDD file type. Step 6: You can specify the capacity of the virtual disk as dynamic or fixed. If you have a fast disk, choose Dynamically Allocated. Step 7: Determine the size of the virtual disk by considering the size of the programs you will install on the guest machine. Step 8: After configuring the Ubuntu VM, open its settings. Step 9: In General / Advanced tab, change Shared Clipboard and Drag'n'Drop options to Bidirectional for file sharing. Step 10: Remove Floppy from System / Boot Order settings and configure the first device as Optical. Step 11: Set the number of virtual cores to 4 or higher in System / Processor settings. Step 12: Set the Video Memory value to 128 MB in the Display / Screen settings. Additionally, tick the 3D Acceleration option.
