The original Meyers Manx was built in 1967 and sold for just six years. It was designed by California surfer, artist, and car customizer Bruce Meyers. He used a Volkswagen Beetle as his base vehicle to create an inexpensive off-road buggy that could be driven on the sand or trail without breaking down. Not only did it have great looks but also had excellent performance due to its lightweight design and aerodynamic shape.
