Indeed many would say an event such as Origins is long overdue. Soul II Soul’s origins, were deep within the underground world of 1970s sound systems, a situation they immersed themselves in, then bust out into the mainstream in a way that was as unchanged as it was completely reinvented. 30 years on, there is probably no more appropriate way to celebrate Soul II Soul than Origins‘ combining of the old school medium with thoroughly modern packaging. Recorded over a weekend in late 2015 at Studio A, at London’s iconic Metropolis Studios, an intimate crowd of 120 witnessed the full force of Soul II Soul’s incredible live show Perspective is YouTube's home for the arts.
