Join the Fowler and Carrie Burckle—artist, educator, and co-founder of Textile Arts / Los Angeles—to learn about the methodologies, inspiration, and meaning behind the imagery in select prints from Aboriginal Screen-Printed Textiles from Australia’s Top End. An instructor in pattern design and screen-printing, Burckle will highlight aspects of design ideation, use of dyes and pigments, and pattern repeats in the production of screen-printed yardage. Carrie Burckle is a visual artist and educator living in Los Angeles. She is co-founder of Textile Arts / Los Angeles and a member of California Fibers. She received her BFA in Textile Design and MFA in Fibers from California State University, Long Beach, where she has been teaching in the Fiber Program since 2002.
