Concert starts at 7:45 Session recorded on January 20th With a message of freedom, joy and unity, Conductor Marin Alsop leads the European Union Youth Orchestra with the Choir of the São Paulo Symphony Orchestra and exceptional soloists from China, Japan, South Africa, Brazil and Italy. On the occasion of the 250th anniversary of Beethoven's birth, they perform the Scherzo and Finale of his Ninth Symphony, including a new rendition, with a new text adapted for our times, in Portuguese, of the Ode to Joy. The opening concert is held in collaboration with Intermusica and supported by Intesa Sanpaolo.
