Caving in Budapest HungaryLocated just outside of (and partially beneath) Budapest, in Hungary there is a 20+ km long cave system. Currently the longest in Hungary, the Pál-völgyi-Mátyás-hegyi cave system located in the Duna-Ipoly National Park offers the opportunity to do explore Hungary's depths. This footage is from a guided caving trip which took us into the labyrinth on a ~3 hour adventure. While some of the spaces in the video may look tight, I was only able to pause and film in more open spaces, so as you might imagine...this footage is only a taste of the adventure. In super tight quarters - sometimes so narrow that the only way to pass was with arms outstretched forward or pressed against one's body, helmet turned sideways to fit, and legs pushing furiously to wriggle and worm through the cave's tiny openings.
It's the first time I've ever felt the sensation of true claustrophobia. After nearly getting stuck several times I found my heart racing, breathing growing faster and faster, and hands shaking from adrenaline. To be honest, about 2/3 of the way through I strongly considered asking the guides for an easier way out (and hoping one existed). Luckily, I decided to push on, fingers crossed that my 6'4" 200 pound frame wouldn't get me permanently stuck.
It was a fantastic adventure. Just don't try it if you've got shoulder or knee injuries and definitely skip it if you're even the slightest bit claustrophobic.

2nd Oldest Amusement Park in the World - Tivoli GardensTivoli Gardens, located in the heart of Copenhagen, Denmark is the 2nd oldest amusement park in the world. While it is one of the oldest, it is still a modern, and exciting destination. A partial inspiration for Disneyland the park offers a mixture of old world architecture and ambiance combined with new rides.
This video was filmed during the park's holiday fireworks show at the end of December, and features the park's Christmas light's and decorations, as well as the amazing firework show at the end of the video. It also includes footage from around the lake, of the heart tree, little Russia, the stunning outdoor stage featuring a mesmirizng blue peacock, and other areas of the park.
Filmed on a Vixia HF200, during a visit in December 2011. I blog further about the park and my experiences there on my blog - http://virtualwayfarer.com. To ask questions, or follow my adventures please subscribe and add me on twitter (@AlexBerger). Thanks for watching!
Biking In Copenhagen - A Brief LookYou may or may not have heard about Copenhagen's stunning bike culture. In this short clip, I share an added insight into how bikes are used on a day-in and day-out practice here in Denmark. Keep in mind that the footage you'll see in this video is shot in Denmark in January - not exactly the world's most comfortable warm weather biking conditions. I hope you enjoy the video and get a kick out of what, especially for me as an American, has been one of the most fascinating aspects of daily life in Copenhagen.
