In 2022, the U.S. Supreme Court ended a woman’s right to a safe and legal abortion in the United States. “Contractions” takes us to Memphis, Tennessee where we contemplate the discontinuation of abortion services at a women’s health clinic. We listen to an obstetrician and a reproductive rights activist who movingly lay out these vital issues. We watch 14 women and their male allies who witness and perform with their backs to the camera. In a place where a woman can no longer make decisions about her own body, they “speak” with the full force of their collective presence.

Essex GirlsFlipping the "Essex Girl" trope, this coming-of-age film explores Black British girlhood and magical female friendships in 2009 Essex.
Navigating adolescence in Benfleet, Essex hasn't been straightforward for British-Nigerian Bisola. She's done her best to fit in, but her two best friends Charlie & Saffron seem to be understanding her less and less recently. However, after an incident at her high school shunts her into the orbit of the only other Black girl in her year - the gorgeous, irrepressible Ashlee, who is everything Bisola wishes she could be - Bisola is plunged into a journey of discovering a whole new side of herself.

“AN AVOCADO PIT is exactly the kind of project we at PAGEBOY Productions are drawn to. We are proud to board this short and it is an honor to amplify Ary Zara’s important work.” - Elliot Page, Matt Jordan Smith and Tuck Dowrey (PAGEBOY Productions)
”What makes AN AVOCADO PIT so quietly powerful is that it doesn’t need to be love, just understanding, just safety. Just that strange feeling in-between, where you’re able to see someone as they are.” — Talking Shorts
"AN AVOCADO PIT is an adeptly creative, fun, thought-provoking, and very essential film that becomes another to speak to our cornerstone notions of what it is to just BE human, show a better inclination to treat one another with respect regardless of who we are or what we believe, and strive to optimistically and with pure intent pursue a better understanding and addressing of our differences." - One Film Fan

PorousIn a dreamlike narrative, a woman takes a bath and reflects upon her past experiences; submerged in the water she enters a space out of time. It is an existentialist film questioning the boundaries the between body and the outside world, between water and skin.
Using traditional frame by frame animation, Cecilia combines paint on glass, gouache and digital animation to create a tactile and intimate film.

The Black Panther Cubs: when the revolution doesn't comeThey are the children of the Black Panther party – the self-styled Panther cubs. Born into the 1970s revolutionary movement for Black equality and self-determination, they have lived in the shadows of a promised land that was never attained. We join them as they continue to wrestle, 50 years later, with the dichotomy of their extraordinary childhoods: the enormous pride and love it gave them as members of the Black Panther family, and the booming loss they endured – of parents, of security, and of the hope for radical change that did not materialise. That hope lives on in the cubs, and their reflections on America’s current crisis offers burning lessons for today.

DENIMDENIM is a fantastical doc series illuminating the brilliant minds of LGBTQIA+ creatives.
This pilot episode explores the powerful journeys of three LGBTQIA+ creatives who are shape shifting their industries through fearless self-expression. Kidd Kenn, carving out his own path as a queer rapper in hip hop, speaks boldly about transforming the music scene. Bishme Cromartie, winner of Project Runway All Stars Season 20, opens up for the first time about being a gay designer from Baltimore and navigating the fashion world. We also introduce Deniim, a Baltimore creative who shares her story of sexual reassignment surgery through a beautiful fusion of animation and music. Each of these trailblazers are pushing boundaries, driving the change the creative world needs.

Prelazak (Passage) 2025After our hero, a young boy, is left alone to die in the midst of war and destruction, the last members of his tribe are dismantled to basic geometric forms under enemy fire. Taken by the feeling of sorrow and loss, the boy builds a totem out of their remains. Armed with this new structure, he continues towards another confrontation, with an unexpected twist.
