Converse All Stars -- simple, classic, always fresh.<br />

Converse is one of those iconic American brands, like Coke or Levis, which has such an incredible history. To me, opening a new box of Chucks is like tapping into a rich mythology full of stars who've worn the sneakers before you -- Larry Bird, Jackson Pollack, the Ramones, the Sharks and Jets, Stallone, Travolta, you name it.<br />
<br />
I've always wanted to do a fun editing exercise that combined the simple act of lacing up some new Chucks with a stream of neat Converse imagery from films, basketball games, concerts, etc. It's not a commercial, it's not for profit, it's just a little mashup and my way of showing how much I love the brand.<br />
<br />
Special thanks to friend and DP David Rodriguez who came over for an afternoon and got some great footage with his 5D of me lacing up some Chucks over and over. Music is by the Ramones, and is available for purchase on iTunes.<br />
