Ha! It's poetry in motion
She turned her tender eyes to me
As deep as any ocean
As sweet as any harmony
Mm, but she blinded me with science
(She blinded me with science!)
And failed me in biology, yeah
Huh-huh
When I'm dancing close to her
(Blinding me with science, science)
(Science!)
I can smell the chemicals
(Blinding me with science, science)
(Science!)
Mm, now but it's poetry in motion
And when she turned her eyes to me
As deep as any ocean
As sweet as any harmony
She blinded me with science
(She blinded me with science!)
And failed me in geometry
When she's dancing next to me
(Blinding me with science, science)
(Science!)
I can hear machinery
(Blinding me with science, science)
(Science!)
Hah! It's poetry in motion
And now she's making love to me
The spheres are in commotion
The elements in harmony
She blinded me with science
(She blinded me with science!)
And hit me with technology
(Good heavens, Miss Sakamoto! You're beautiful!)
I don't believe it, there she goes again
She's tidied up and I can't find anything
All my tubes and wires and careful notes
And antiquated notions
But, it's poetry in motion
And when she turned her eyes to me
As deep as any ocean
As sweet as any harmony
Uh, she blinded me with science
(She blinded me with science!)
She blinded me with

Innovation is slowing, research productivity is declining, scientific work is becoming more disruptive. In this video I summarize what we know about the problem and what possible causes have been proposed. I also explain why this matters so much to me.
Clarification to what I say at 3:10 -- As with the previous figure, the blue lines show the growth in the yield, see figure title and axis label. Sorry for expressing this so vaguely.

Is science coming to an end? On the one hand, it seems like scientific progress has slowed to a crawl and no big breakthroughs are happening any more. On the other hand, we are left with many unsolved problems in science that I am pretty sure have a solution. In this video I explain why I think that we need to seriously consider the possibility that we live in the final phase of scientific discovery.

50 Archaeological Mysteries Science Can’t ExplainLost cities buried beneath deserts, forgotten scripts carved in stone, and ancient structures no one can explain—archaeology is filled with discoveries that defy conventional history. Who built these sites? What were they used for? And why do so many of them seem far more advanced than they should be? From precise megalithic walls to unexplained underground networks, these aren't myths or theories—they're real findings that continue to puzzle scientists, archaeologists, and researchers alike.
In this feature-length documentary, we explore 50 of the most baffling archaeological mysteries ever discovered, including the Sacsayhuamán walls, the Ulfberht Viking swords, the skeletons of Roopkund Lake, the Osirion, the Klerksdorp spheres, and the enigmatic Tartaria tablets. These unexplained ruins, ancient technologies, and lost civilizations challenge what we think we know about human history. Whether you're here for the unsolved, the strange, or the truly mind-bending, this is a journey deep into the unknown corners of the past.

Science Bob’s top secret at home elephant toothpaste recipe:
A clean 16 ounce (473 ml) plastic soda bottle or a water bottle.
6 Ounces of 20-volume hydrogen peroxide liquid (20-volume is a 6% solution that is stronger than what you find in most pharmacies. It is typically used for lightening hair and is found at many beauty supply stores. You can use the 3% hydrogen peroxide found in pharmacies, but the reaction will be a bit smaller)
1 Tablespoon (15ml – one packet) of dry yeast
3+ Tablespoons (15 ml) of warm water
Liquid dishwashing soap
Food coloring
Science Teacher Version:
BIG Elephant Toothpaste Reaction
CAUTION: This reaction uses dangerous chemicals thatch cause chemical burns or even blindness. This demonstration should only be done by by trained professionals.
In a 5L flask:
250 ml 30% (not 30 volume) hydrogen peroxide
30ml liquid dish soap
30ml food coloring.
Add
75ml sodium iodide solution (2M)
The foam may have unreacted peroxide which could cause a chemical burn and so it should not be touched.

Scientists Just Solved the Biggest Time Travel ParadoxWhat if you could travel back in time… and not break the universe? Scientists may have just cracked one of the biggest mysteries in physics — the time travel paradox. In this video, we’ll explore how Germain Tobar, a physics student from the University of Queensland, ran the numbers and found a way that time travel might actually work — without any messy paradoxes. Discover how space-time could self-correct and allow freedom of action without destroying causality. Sci-fi fans, physics lovers, and curious minds — you won’t want to miss this mind-bending discovery!

How Big is The Universe? How Big is The Universe?
We begin at the familiar blue and green orb we call home and zoom out to explore the vastness of space. From the Moon, our closest cosmic neighbor, to the edges of the observable universe, prepare to be astonished by the sheer scale of everything that exists.
Travel with us as we venture past the Moon, understanding its distance in terms we can grasp. Witness the Sun, not just as a source of light, but as a milestone in the vastness of our solar system. We don't stop there; Mars, Neptune, and the outer reaches of our solar neighborhood await.
Discover the awe-inspiring distances to the Voyager 1 probe, the enigmatic Oort Cloud, and the neighboring star system of Alpha Centauri. As we sail through the Milky Way, understand our position in the grand scheme of things, where our entire history is just a whisper in the cosmic wind.
Our voyage takes us further, to the Local Group, Virgo Supercluster, and the staggering Laniakea Supercluster. We contemplate the Great Attractor's pull and our place in this immense heaven.
Confront the boundaries of the observable universe and ponder the mystery of what lies beyond. This video is not just a journey through space but a journey of perspective. Join us in marveling at the universe's grandeur and our humble place within it.

James Webb Just Found a Planet Better Than Earth – 99.7% Chance of Life!James Webb Just Found a Planet Better Than Earth – 99.7% Chance of Life!
► Subscribe: https://goo.gl/r5jd1F
On April 17 of this year, NASA released data that could completely change our understanding of space: signs of life were discovered on a distant planet with a probability of 99.7%.
This planet is K2-18b, located 124 light-years away from us. In its atmosphere, chemical compounds were detected that on Earth are almost always associated with living organisms. Moreover, their concentration is a thousand times higher than on our planet!
If these substances are truly the result of biological activity, as they are here on Earth - then right now, there may not just be life out there, but a thriving ocean of biological diversity.
Amazingly, everything points to K2-18b being a water world: a planet covered with deep oceans, hiding active life. Life that might be completely unlike anything on Earth…

Unique Earth: The Essence of Water | Full DocumentaryWater shapes our landscapes and makes our world unique. Only water can be found on earth in three states of aggregation - gaseous, liquid and solid. This is what makes the molecule so fascinating.
No other substance has been so studied and yet still holds so many questions as water. Scientist try to unlock the secrets of Water. 70% of the earth's surface is covered by liquid water.
The documentary gives us insights into the fascinating landscapes created by water: Underwater worlds, interesting ice worlds and unknown caves. But it also shows us the importance of water for the forest ecosystem and for us as living beings.

The Weird Science That Lets Insects Fly in the RainSUBSCRIBE so you don’t miss a video! ►► http://bit.ly/iotbs_sub
↓↓↓ More info and sources below ↓↓↓
Imagine the scale of raindrops if you were the size of a small bird. Or mosquito. Flying through a drizzle should be deadly! Like flying through falling cars and boulders. And yet it’s not, because nature has given them a superpower—superhydrophobic surfaces that repel water and keep them airborne. How do these microscopic structures work? And how has modern engineering been inspired by them?

The science of laughter - Sasha WinklerExplore the common scientific theories about why humans laugh, and how this universal behavior evolved.
--
Isn’t it odd that, when something’s funny, you might show your teeth, change your breathing, become weak and achy in some places, and maybe even cry? In other words, why do we do this bizarre thing that is laughter? Since there’s no archaeological record of laughter, it’s impossible to say exactly how and why it evolved, but scientists have some theories. Sasha Winkler digs into the reflex.
