Jim and Penny Caldwell are known for having explored the Real Mount Sinai area more than any westerner because they lived and worked in Saudi Arabia during the 1990s. The Caldwell Family Archive still remains today the largest collection of photos and video of the area. Prior to 2016, the vast majority of photos and video seen on the Real Mount Sinai come from their archive.
