Paige Claassen Sends "Algorithm" (Second Ascent)With a month in the Fins ahead of her, Paige Claassen set her sights on "Algorithm," a project she put down surprisingly fast. First climbed by fellow La Sportiva athlete Jonathan Siegrist in 2012, Claassen's send marks the first repeat of the route, proposed as 5.14d/9a by Siegrist.

SlaydiesLa Sportiva climbing athletes Margo Hayes, Paige Claassen and Emily Harrington take a trip to Spain, to explore the abundant sport climbing and deep water soloing that Mallorca offers. Each woman is a "slady" (i.e., lady who slays) in her own rite; each has contributed to the progression of the sport, while continuing to support her fellow slaydies.
Sarchasm :: Paige ClaassenThere is a fine line between an excuse and an experience. The North Face rock climber, Paige Claassen, finds that line while projecting “Sarchasm”, a high-alpine 5.14 sport-climb outside of her hometown of Estes Park, Colorado, showing us that mental training is often as important as physical preparation.

6 months deep into travel, the Lead Now team finds a new rhythm in India during the month of December. With 5am daily wakeup calls to work India's hardest sport climb before sunrise, Paige Claassen and 2 of India's strongest climbers -- Tuhin Satarkar and Sandeep Kumar Maity -- navigate not only heat but the cultural barriers of a country deeply rooted in tradition. In a culture where women are expected to keep the home, dress conservatively, and live under the guidance of men, a woman climbing Ganesh (5.14a/8b+) is an unexpected event. Follow the Lead Now team deeper into the struggles of women in India as Ruchira Gupta, Emmy winning founder of Apne Aap Women Worldwide, describes her work to end sex trafficking and forced prostitution in India, and encourage the hope, empowerment, and shared courage of women around the world.

Falling isn't Failing: Paige Claassen at TEDxCUPaige Claassen shares her experience as a professional rock climber, and has one important takeaway that she realizes applies to everything in life: When you fall, that doesn't mean you failed. On the contrary, falling is the best way to learn and overcome your greatest challenges.
In the spirit of ideas worth spreading, TEDx is a program of local, self-organized events that bring people together to share a TED-like experience. At a TEDx event, TEDTalks video and live speakers combine to spark deep discussion and connection in a small group. These local, self-organized events are branded TEDx, where x = independently organized TED event. The TED Conference provides general guidance for the TEDx program, but individual TEDx events are self-organized.* (*Subject to certain rules and regulations)

The Incan Odyssey Part 2 of 2Welcome to the Incan Odyssey. This two-part web series by Andy Mann of 3 Strings Productions follows Marmot's 2012 expedition to the fierce ANDES MOUNTAINS OF PERU as Abbey Smith, Pete Takeda, Paige Claassen and Mick Follari brave extreme rock climbs and perilous ice routes. During this six week expedition to a remote valley in the Cordillera Blanca mountain range, this multi-disciplinary climbing team established over 40 standard setting boulder problems and attempted the UNCLIMBED surrounding 5000 and 6000 meter peaks. Near their 15,000 foot base camp, Claassen conquered her fear of falling ropeless, Smith climbed the monumental highball Breathless (V11), while Takeda used up six of his nine lives in a near fatal fall.
Part 2 of 2.
