In some cases patient's don't have teeth to begin with. At NCOFSC the doctors specialize in replacing teeth and work with your dentist to establish a good result. Their goal is to get you looking as close to natural as possible after losing a tooth. Patients choose to go to sleep for their dental implants. All of the doctors have training in anesthesia and can comfortably drift patients off to sleep before they have their dental implant placed. A dental implant procedure takes anywhere from about 30 minutes to an hour and standard protocol is basically to drift a patient off to sleep - get them numb for the procedure - then place the dental implant and then post operative time is actually quite minimum.
