I met Ashley back in May of this year, from responding to a Craigslist AD she put up looking for a director. After listening to her music, I was so inspired to come up with something that would be just as interesting visually.

We shot the video over the course of 3 days in pacifica and Daly City, CA. With one of those days being fourth of July! For the village scenes we had to hike up a treacherous mountain with all of our equipment and art design in the blazin hot sun, but it was all worth it for the shots we captured. This project was so much fun to shoot and I hope that comes across on screen. Hope you enjoy :)
J_Stui "A.R.T" - Music VideoStory Write up:

This video is long overdue! We shot it this past February with a mostly one man crew (myself) except for one day where my good friend Jossle helped out.

J_Stui called me a couple of months prior and said that he wanted to shoot a music video. He allowed me to choose the song (vary rarely happens). I listened to a few of his songs and for some reason this one in particular stood out to me, so we both agreed on shooting a music video for "A.R.T". Shortly after agreeing to the song, I came up with the concept for the video and after many meetings and conversations we ended up with an even bigger concept that involved several characters all going through a similar arc.

I shot most of the video using natural light. Except for the dance tryout scene and night scenes where I used only a 250w back light to add separation to the characters from the background and a small led light to add a key/fill where needed.
