τεντώνω (tentóno), the greek verb 'to stretch'.
Coming from the Ancient Greek word 'teinein',
akin to the Sanskrit word "tantra"
meaning "expansion through awareness"
or put another way,
"to stretch; mind, body, and soul."
A passionate psychonaut and patron of substances and their uses, this mix was a challenge to connect with the altruistic, spiritual, and mysterious, aspects of drugs, while also providing the energy and dynamism, to provide a heightened audio/visual experience to those under the influence themselves.
Greatly inspired by the annual Q-Dance event QLIMAX, which I have been privileged to attend the last two years. Hardstyle, with the balance between the 'hard techno' and the 'style' of the atmospheric breakdowns, inspired a similar mix of beat-driven more dance-friendly tracks with atmospheric and cinematic breakdowns, featuring drug-related samples from film & tv. I like to think of it as 'Techstyle'.

In ancient Greece, Pandora was given a wedding gift by Zeus in the form of a beautiful jar, ofen referred to as a box. The only instruction she was given was never to open it. But curiosity got the best of Pandora, and she eventually opened the box. At that moment, everything evil that we know today was released. Plagues, Greed, War, Murder, Disease and so on. She tried to close it, but it was already too late.
This is our gift to you. Do not open it.
Pandoras Box was a Hyper Island Student project created by students in the Digital Media Creative program, and was exhibited at Hyper Island's 'Fluorescent Space Vibration' interactive installation exhibition in October 2014.
