Story behind the song:
Our kids give us great inspiration for our music. When Jon's 17 year
old daughter said how much she loved this song, Jon decided to try it.
He experienced a flood of inspiration. "Never has a piano part come
together this fast" Jon says. Steve experienced similar inspiration
while composing the cello parts. Since the lyrics suggest a bride
walking towards the groom in a ceremony we thought we would include a
quote from the Bridal Chorus by Wagner in the climax of the song.
(It is carefully disguised).
As it seems to always go, Paul and Tel didn't find the spot until they spent 9 hours driving around southern Utah the day before the shoot looking. After getting a little discouraged by not finding anything that great, they just happened to check out a little hidden spot right near Baker Dam and thought it was perfect for the song. The next morning we all loaded up the piano and headed out there to film, but after getting the Truck and Trailer stuck and waiting for the sun to move, we didn't get started filming until that evening having about 3 hours of light. It was so fun to film and play in the middle of the trees!

작곡가 겸 피아니스트 `이루마`의 정규 8집 [Blind Film] 블라인드 필름
이번 앨범은 "Blind Film" 보이지 않는 영상음악이라고 소개해 드리고 싶네요. 특별히 변한 것은 없습니다.. 뭐.. 저는 변한게 없다 느껴질지라도.. 제 심경의 변화가 저도 모르게 있었다면 음악에서 무의식적으로 표현되지 않았을까..란 생각도 드네요. 암전된 상태에서 피아노를 친 적이 있어요..소리가 더 살아있는 듯한 느낌이 들 때.그렇게 그냥 눈을 감으면 오히려 빛이 보입니다. 내 안에 있는 빛.. 내가 만드는 빛들 말이죠. 그리고 영상처럼 그림들이 그려집니다. 영화처럼.. 꿈처럼.. 눈을 감고 있어도 보이는.. - 이루마 1 Oct, 2013
총 11곡으로 구성 되어있는 이번 [Blind Film] 앨범에는 동명의 2번 트랙 "Blind Film"이 타이틀 이며, 예전 이루마의 음악에서 보여지는 감성보다 훨씬 더 성숙하며 작곡가의 고뇌가 느껴지는 곡이다.
"Forest Fantasy"는 기발매 되었던 "몽환의 숲" 의 피아노 버전으로 감성 연주 곡으로 재 탄생 되었다.
그 외 수록된 2곡의 피아노 퀄텟은 클래식한 느낌의 연주로, 바이올린, 비올라, 첼로로 풍성한 현악기의 느낌을 선보이며 팬들에게 색다른 이미지를 선사하였다. 영상이 흐르는 듯한 몽환적인 이루마 만의 선율로 팬들에게 아름다운 소리를 선사할 예정이다.
사진 자켓 촬영 작업에서도 "춤추는 사진작가" 강영호와 함께, 예술가의 고민과 창작의 고통을 사진을 통해 잘 표현하였으며, 지난 앨범에도 함께 하였던 이재훈, 황병준 엔지니어와 함께 후반 음반 작업으로 앨범의 완벽한 사운드를 구현하였다.
