"Former Tonight Show host and local car legend Jay Leno stopped by our Beverly Hills showroom yesterday to take delivery of his new McLaren P1?.
The comedian brought a video crew along to film his delivery experience for the popular web series, Jay Leno's Garage.
Leno's new car is the first McLaren P1? to be delivered in the North American market. Finished in Volcano Yellow paint with extensive carbon fiber trim, the car is truly stunning.
McLaren North America Sales Manager Peter Freiberger and McLaren Automotive Aftersales Specialist Chris Woodley flew out to our Beverly Hills showroom to ensure the delivery went smoothly.
One highlight of the day was when Jay spotted two young McLaren fans watching on from outside the dealership. He stopped his shoot and invited the pair inside to come inside and sit in his new car.
Once all the requisite shots were taken and hands were shaken, Jay pulled out on to Wilshire Blvd. becoming the very first person to pilot a privately owned McLaren P1? in North America. Jay said he had plans to put 'a few hundred miles' on the car after filming had wrapped.
It was a big day for everyone involved. We can't wait to see the final video from Jay Leno's Garage, but in the meantime, watch the clip above for our take on the morning.

Worlds largest McLaren RunMcLaren Beverly Hills hosted the worlds largest gathering of McLaren MP4-12C's in the world at the World Famous Supercar Sunday.
An event first of it's kind, the 12c's lined up and and headed out on an intense drive through the back roads and canyons to the Santa Barbara Polo Fields for fun, food and a McLaren parade across the field.

As far as turning, you could go from on the freeway turning an on ramp to fully loaded in a corner, washing out the nose. And the input to the steering wheel is identical.
