What would you do if you discovered someone you were interested in once had an intense drug addiction, a train wreck of relationships, attempted suicide and once was a porn star - featured in over 300 adult films?
All this might scare you off from asking them out. And who could blame you? The past paints the future, right? Wrong. The past doesn’t always dictate what’s to come, especially when God’s involved. But you can’t ignore it, you need to walk through the past. Richard says it best. “If I couldn’t embrace her past… I couldn’t walk into the future with her.”
This is the incredible story of 2 very brave individuals who worked through their past and are living to the fullest today.

David Eubank runs through gunfire in Mosul to save a childhttp://www.dailymail.co.uk/news/article-4614460/David-Eubank-runs-gunfire-Mosul-save-child.html
Hair-raising moment a former US Special Forces soldier-turned aid worker runs through gunfire in Mosul to save a child from ISIS.
The moment a former US Special Forces operator-turned aid worker rescues a young girl from the line of fire in Mosul has been caught on video.
David Eubank, 56, pulled off the daring rescue recently in the embattled northern Iraq city, where allied forces have been on a grinding offensive to re-take the city from ISIS for the past eight months.
Eubank, who founded the aid group Free Burma Rangers after retiring from the US Army, led the group along with his wife Karen and their three children ages 11 to 16, into Mosul after hearing horror stories of ISIS's treatment of civilians.
'I believe God sent me here, and I don't think about security… but I always ask myself if I'm doing it out of pride,' he told the Los Angeles Times.
The recent rescue captured on video unfolded after Eubank and his team spotted a toddler and a young girl crawling among the bodies of other civilians, who had been viciously mowed down by ISIS fighters while trying to escape the front lines.
Under a smoke screen from canisters, Eubank dashed out from behind the cover of a tank while two of his colleagues laid down suppressive fire with machine guns.
'I thought, "If I die doing this, my wife and kids would understand",' Eubank told the Times.
Wearing a helmet and ballistic vest, Eubank charged into the kill zone and retrieved the young girl, who had her hair tied with pink ribbons.
Eubank returned to find the toddler, but was unsuccessful. Another injured man the team tried to save did not survive.
Not long after the rescue, Eubank and his family returned to the US, but he has said he is already thinking of another mission to Iraq.
2017 Colombia Mission TripMedellin, Colombia is called, “The City of Eternal Spring” and when we landed we quickly discovered why. The temperature is pretty much perfect year round and an awe inspiring nature bordered by the view of the mountains surrounding the valley where the city lays, made for a pretty incredible view no matter where you were in the city. Like most first time trips we’ve led, we went with a sure plan but not really a sure way of completing it. We had contacts in Medellin and knew there was a need for the Gospel and left the States trusting God to complete a good work in the lives we were bound to affect while we were there. As always, the Lord quickly revealed to us the many details He had already begun to orchestrate before we ever set foot on this trip.
Our first point of contact was Natalie from INDER. INDER oversees the operations of over 800 sports complexes including the majority of skateparks in Colombia. After presenting to her our desire to reach the skating community with the Gospel and to premiere the Purpose film at Estadio skatepark, she got real excited and shared with us that she too is Christian and had been praying for help to reach the skaters. She gave us the green light (which is normally not an easy task in and of itself) and our main Purpose film showing was set for that Saturday at the skatepark. With the event scheduled, we set out to numerous other parks each night until to pass out fliers, host some games of skate, give out prizes, and pray for people while sharing the message of hope that is found in Jesus Christ.
Our second point of contact in Colombia was Gabriel, a missionary from California working at Christ for the Nations there in Medellin. Through Gabriel, we were given the open door at Christ for the Nations to present the ministry of Ride Nature to several key leaders and they were immediately on board with helping partner with the vision for impacting Colombia. We were super blessed to have their support on Saturday night at the outreach as they sent some of their students to help setup and minister alongside us. The movie night on Saturday drew a crowd of over 80 skaters, cyclists, and spectators. The Purpose film was well received and after a message from our team, we are stoked to share that ten youth surrendered their lives to the Lord for the first time! Many were prayed over and one skater at the event rededicated his life to the Lord. It was a truly fruitful night for the glory of God. One of the young guys who gave his life to Christ that night shared with us that he felt that it was that night that he found his purpose in life! We gave him a Bible and immediately he started reading it to his friend. This is what Ride Nature exists for. This was, is, and will always be the hope for this ministry....that lives will be eternally impacted through action sports outreach, evangelism, and discipleship!
We thank everyone for their continued prayers and support as we complete the great commision set forth by our Lord to reach the ends of the Earth! Every trip is a further reminder to us as staff at Ride Nature that God is with us and for us and desires that every man, woman, and skater come to the saving grace of Jesus Christ.
To the ENDS of the earth!

Missions is...In January of 2017, 8 students from various universities went on a mission trip to Haiti. In this 14 day mission trip these students learned that missions is so much more than just a means of feeling good. Missions is the most important thing we can do as Christians. Partnering with Global Lift these students embarked to share the Gospel where hope seems a distant idea.

Haiti was a week of my life that I will never forget. I was able to experience a country with so much beauty, yet so much pain at the same time. This video shows what our living space was like, as well as what the hospital was like where we spent most of our time.
I experienced good news for families, but I also experienced bad news. I experienced birth, and I also experienced death. My view of the world was shaken. "Bring Your love to life inside of me.... break my heart 'til it moves my hands and feet" as the song goes. Until next time, Haiti...

M I S S I O N S || Africa Renewal MinistriesMissions can cultivate change and become helpful instead of hurtful to those involved when an organization and group of people know the needs where they are and know how to take the desire to help from people and make it go towards something that will actually make an impact and empower others.
Africa Renewal Ministries has done and continues to do great things in the lives of so many, but they can't do it all on their own. It's time to raise awareness of what is happening around the world and how anyone, no matter who they are can make a difference through God's power and through the passions/skills He has given us. Tim Keller: "Making Sense of God: An Invitation to the Skeptical" | Talks At GoogleSkepticism is healthy if it leads us to question the received pieties of our age. But our modern culture has elevated skepticism to such an ultimate value that belief in anything seems faintly absurd. Yet human beings cannot live without meaning, satisfaction, freedom, identity, justice, and hope—and these things all require a faith dimension. In an earlier book, The New York Times bestseller The Reason for God, Dr. Timothy Keller made a case for Christianity. In his new book, Dr. Keller starts further back, addressing those who strongly doubt that any version of religion or faith makes sense or has anything of value to offer the contemporary world.
In his trademark accessible prose, Dr. Keller invites those who have dismissed Christianity as irrelevant to reconsider. As the founder of Redeemer Presbyterian Church in New York City, Dr. Keller has spent decades engaging with skeptics of all persuasions, from the hostile to the hopeful, in personal conversations, sermons, and books, which have sold over two million copies.
Timothy Keller was born and raised in Pennsylvania and educated at Bucknell University, Gordon-Conwell Theological Seminary, and Westminster Theological Seminary. His first pastorate was in Hopewell, Virginia. In 1989 he started Redeemer Presbyterian Church in New York City with his wife, Kathy, and their three sons. Today, Redeemer has nearly six thousand regular Sunday attendees and has helped to start more than three hundred new churches around the world. He is the author of The Songs of Jesus, Preaching, Prayer, Encounters with Jesus, Walking with God Through Pain and Suffering, Every Good Endeavor, and The Meaning of Marriage, among others, including the perennial bestsellers The Reason for God and The Prodigal God.
Sacrifice // New Tribes Mission - 75th AnniversaryYes, there will be sacrifices endured as missionaries go out to the world. But as Ken Johnston said years ago, “I don't believe that you can ever sacrifice for the Lord and come out on the short end, because God still has a bigger scoop shovel than you have. You scoop out, and He'll scoop in.” Discover more of NTM’s history at ntm.org/75.

This interview is highly inspiring. He talks about how God's Providence allowed him to suffer several very painful injuries and illnesses when filming which allowed him to participate in and portray Christ's Passion in a deep and real way. He tells about the shocking fact that he was struck by lightning at one point in the production. He gives advice to all Catholics about the seriousness of living the Faith, not trying to "fit in" with our neo-pagan society, and the necessity, joy, and honor of suffering for Jesus Crucified for the salvation of souls. His testimony is amazing and real.
Based on the following event posting, it appears that he did this interview on August 1, 2010: http://www.sdrock.com/events/7175/

The first commenter for the above video wrote: “Truly profound and breathtaking!”
Please Note: At one point in his talk, Jim said, “You are all going to Heaven.” A critic might object, “What if there was someone in the audience who hates Christ and will never repent. So is Jim saying that he is going to Heaven too?” Of course such an unrepentant person who hates God chooses Hell with their free will (as Jim said in his talk, “God doesn’t send anyone to Hell, they choose that place”) and Jim’s statement cannot apply to them. So how are we to understand Jim’s sentence? First off, it is obvious from the context that Jim was addressing those among the audience who are of good will who desire to repent, live a virtuous life, and to take the necessary actions to reach Heaven. Furthermore, Jim expanded or qualified this statement later in his talk where he said that “God is asking for more conversion” and he reminded the audience that Heaven or Hell is a choice (on a related topic, he said that those in the production of the movie who were “fence-sitters” with regards to God who claimed they hadn’t made a choice were in reality making a choice by the mere fact that they were fence-sitting). A person chooses Heaven or Hell with their free will and manifests their choice by the way they lead their life and by their actions, words, thoughts, and prayers. One must want Heaven to reach there and to reach it requires effort just like anything worthwhile in the natural world. Our Lord told us in the Gospels that arriving at Heaven requires the person to receive sanctifying grace through baptism (which of course is ordinarily sacramental baptism by water, but in rare cases can include baptism of blood or authentic baptism of desire), repenting of their sins, and living a virtuous life where they preserve this grace. Hence, Jim’s statement must be understood with these qualifiers for his statement to be correct.
