WILLY P SHREDS COLOMBIA // Sweets Kendamas I spent a month during the summer of 2015 journeying through Colombia and spreading kendama love, all the while having some of the most amazing experiences of my life, witnessing the most beautiful landscapes I've ever seen, and meeting the most wonderful people.

This video isn't full of the nastiest kendama tricks I've ever filmed, but rather is my humble attempt to paint a portrait of the many adventures I had in a country I absolutely fell in love with. I truly hope that watching this video will allow you all to get a glimpse into one of my deepest passions, both in my personal life and in my studies at Stanford: Latin American culture.

Kendama Meets Streetwear: SWEETS x PIFF MPLS Sweets kendamas is always trying to introduce kendama into new communities. We were lucky enough to collaborate with a local Minneapolis streetwear store called Piff MPLS. We got our hands on a rare Baby Milo branded kendama which was a part of a recent capsule collection from the Japanese clothing brand A Bathing Ape.
Piff is the go-to source for high-end premium clothing brands in the twin cities, especially BAPE, so of course we had to shoot a collab video in their store! They draped Cooper head-to-toe in 1st camo and let us run wild in their store for a while. This is the collab video that came from it!

In September of 2014 Kendama players from around the world traveled to Tokyo for the Catch & Flow freestyle tournament. We shared tricks, stories, and words. Each time we go to Japan we learn new words in Japanese and share new English words with the Japanese players. The one word that brings us together is KENDAMA.

Thorkild May Kendama World Champion Catch&Flow 2014 Danish Thorkild May (KROM Kendama part owner / pro) wins the Freestyle Kendama World Championship ”Catch&Flow” September 13 2014, Tokyo.

Both Philip Eldridge and Thorkild May from KROM was among the 16 best players from the preliminary round, where the worlds best 60 kendama players battled for the title as the first world champion of Freestyle Kendama.

Both the of the Danes went to the finals, but Philip lost against Canadian Rodney Ansell. Thorkild is fighs his way to the gold, but with tough competition from USA & Japan.

The skill level is extraordinarily high. The crowd is going crazy in each battle, especially in the semi finals where Thorkild faces Gloken Style World Champion Bonz Atron (USA). Thorkild says: “The first round against Bonz is the best Kendama I’ve ever played. I knew I had to kill it real hard to win, so I put all stakes on some super hard technical and aesthetic tricks, which I rarely pull first try”.

**RULES OF CATCH&FLOW**
In the preliminary rounds all players have 90 seconds one at a time to do a performance. The best 16 players makes it to the finals where they compete one-on-one. Each players have 45 seconds one at a time over two rounds. The three judges each votes on their favorite based on difficulty (50%), creativity (30%) and control (20%)

Kendama USA Welcomes Haley Bishoff to the Tribute Team For 2014 we wanted to continue growing the Tribute family. Instead of doing a video contest this year, we decided to keep our eyes open for the right person during our travels and events. The Tribute team is one of the most diverse Kendama crews in the world. Each member has their own unique style and personality. The Tribute team travels together, plays together, and evolves together constantly. When it comes to choosing another team member, we look at not only the Kendama play, and but also the type of person you are.

We are very excited and honored to introduce the newest member of the team and family, Haley Bishoff.

Haley has an extensive skill set that that rivals even the most seasoned ninjas. Not only does she slay Kendama, she also is skilled in gymnastics, slackline, yoyo, and epic ba$ketballer videos. She is one of the most chill people to hang with or jam dama and is always down to learn new tricks and teach others. After meeting her a few times on tour and at yoyo events, the whole Kendama USA crew knew it was a perfect match. Haley is Trib.

It was also an unwritten requirement that you be able to do back flips. Haley passed that test with an A+. Welcome to the family Haley!
Kendama USA Japan 2013 - The Gloken Musou Tour It's amazing how much one place can influence a person. All of us here at Kendama USA are influenced by the birthplace of kendama... Japan. A portion of our team was honored to be invited to visit the birthplace of kendama for sessions, meetings, product-releases, and plotting the future course of our sport.

It was destined to be an amazing time, and who better than Colin Sander to showcase it to you. Let's be real... we were there because Kazuma Iwata, the maker of MUGEN, was coming back.
Enjoy next-level tricks, a star-studded juggler list, and all of the unpredictable beauty that the far east bestows upon us with each visit. This is Kendama USA's Gloken Musou Tour edit. Japan 2013.

Kendama USA NYC 2012 Episode 3 - Subway Edit Kendama USA spent a few weeks in New York City this winter for some city exploring, kendama playing, and of course the annual Toy Fair. During any New York City trip, you're bound to spend a lot of time riding the subways, and that's what episode 3 is all about. We met lots of interesting folks on the trains, and had lots of good mini sessions walking through stations and jamming on the platforms.
