[HD] Jeremy Lin - Identity*Watch with headphones on for best experience!*
A short 6min film of the story of Jeremy Lin and how he discovers his identity as a basketball player with the New York Knicks.
Further Description:
After going unrecruited for college, undrafted in the NBA, and waived multiple times, Lin was finally given his chance to shine against the NJ Nets on 2/4/12, in the midst of an 8-15 record and fading playoff hopes. The NBA cut deadline was looming in 48 hours, and this was potentially Lin's last chance to prove himself as a worthy NBA player. Up to this life-changing moment, it seemed that the only constant in Lin's lifelong struggle to prove himself was his refusal to back down, no matter how many times he was told that he was not good enough.
Jeremy often credits his breakout with the New York Knicks to him finally discovering his identity through Christ. After years of seeking the approval of scouts and coaches, Lin finally realized that he was not playing basketball to impress others, but rather to glorify God. Only then was he able to achieve his full potential, transcend boundaries, and inspire millions of Athletes, Asian-Americans, and Christians everywhere.
Each one of us has our unique God-given potential, but we need to go out and achieve it. Our dreams will probably get mocked and our efforts will at times appear to be in vain, but like Jeremy did before "Linsanity," we have to get back up every single time we are knocked down. We all have the power to change the world for the better, as long as we truly believe that we can. "Our deepest fear is not that we are inadequate; our deepest fear is that we are powerful beyond measure."
"It's a miracle from God, that's the way I would describe it."

José: An Underdog Story (ft. Jeremy Lin)Tweet: http://bit.ly/1aCgnHT | FB: http://on.fb.me/1bB7GLP
What would you do if Jeremy Lin surprised you with a game of pickup basketball?
In September, Jubilee Project had the honor of meeting José, a remarkable young man who overcame the struggles of growing up in one of the most dangerous districts in San Francisco.
This is a story of an underdog who found strength, hope and joy in an unlikely place—in his pain and suffering. Through basketball and faith in God, José learns to embrace the journey he has been on, just as his role model Jeremy Lin has done in his own incredible circumstances in the NBA.

This film was inspired by the true story a young Burmese refugee who overcomes his challenges and fears with the help of a dedicated mentor who invests the time and energy into helping him. In turn, he pays it forward by reaching out and helping somebody else as well.
Lost for Words was produced to support the Jeremy Lin Foundation (@jlinfoundation) and PAIR Houston (@pairhouston), an organization that works with refugee youth and the winner of last year's Making A Difference campaign.
