"Of the animated shorts, [Head Over Heels is] the cleverest."
-Stephen Holden, The New York Times
"The attention to detail is staggering, particularly for a stop-motion animated movie... There may be an impressive crop of animated shorts this year, but Head Over Heels is the most fully realized of the whole bunch. Flawless."
-William Bibbiani, CraveOnline.com
"This beautifully animated film is also a wonderfully unique story... Both whimsical and deeply felt... Simply extraordinary."
-Richard Propes, theindependentcritic.com
"The true charmer of the screening... The understated nature of the central couple's struggle calls for repeat viewing."

The Kinda SutraWhere exactly do babies come from? And how are they really made?
Mixing humorous animation and interviews, this documentary short poses these questions to a variety of adults and youngsters who explore their earliest understanding of sex, conception and how the two, uh, intersect.
With humor, affection and nostalgia for youth's lost naiveté, our subjects recall some of their earliest experiences with - and misconceptions of - sex and babies and all things thereof. The stork, of course, makes an appearance, as do other less conventional elements, including floating airborne seeds, a tree, pollywogs and an unexpected bathroom fixture. This very personal, Indian-themed riff on the Kama Sutra provides a glimpse into how we think about sex and what we learn along the way.

About:
Prey Alone - not regarded as your typical Irish short film! In fact it doesn't even have a priest as one of the main or supporting characters. No panoramic vistas, no poverty, misery or guilt and it's not even set in the 1950's. Prey Alone is a high octane, ball busting, roaring screeming chase movie set somewhere in the near future in a generic city in the USA.
It uses the latest up to date digital film techniques but didn't cost a fortune to make. It' is in fact the first digital home movie. None of the backgrounds even exist - they were all created in computers. 9 home computers that the directors hooked up together and arranged to operate like a high end digital TV post production system. It's a home movie!
Prey Alone is almost entirely digitally created. In fact the only elements of live action in the movie are the actors and some hand props. Everything else was built in post production by the film makers.
Writers / Directors Stephen St Leger (a TV commercials director) and James Mather (a director of photography) have worked as a team on hundreds of commercials and decided to extend this synergy to the hugely ambitious concept of directing a movie entirely shot on green screen and post produced by themselves. They incorporated the green screen technology and techniques they had experienced over the years shooting TV commercials and expanded it into a 15-minute high-energy nail biting drama with enormous effect.
The real beauty of this movie is that it's not just an example of imaginative cinematic techniques, it has a powerful narrative with a thoroughly satisfying & clever twist in the tale that ties up all the loose ends and wraps up the experience with a big bow.
Official Short Film - Tango UnderpantsNEWS! Tango Underpants has been selected for the AACTA #SocialShorts competition powered by Hyundai Australia's #ExperienceGenesis! Help us win a cash prize and mentorship with Gracie Otto by voting for us at the #SocialShorts website: http://www.socialshorts.com.au/comedy/tango-underpants/
Tango Underpants tells the story of Carolyn – a young Australian backpacker who, after a bad breakup and too long on the road, has completely lost her mojo. However, all of that changes when she reaches South America. Here, she discovers not only the wonders of the Tango dance and the people, but also the vital importance of the right underwear.
Based on a short story by Carolyn Swindell published by Lonely Planet, Tango Underpants is a short film (13 minutes) written by John Collee; starring Emma Booth; directed by Miranda Edmonds and Khrob Edmonds; photographed by Denson Baker; music by Guy Gross, and produced by Tania Chambers, Stephen Van Mil and Miranda Edmonds. The film was produced in Buenos Aires, Argentina in June 2013, in collaboration with an Argentinian production company Ojala Productions. It was funded predominantly by ScreenWest’s 3-to-1 Initiative through which over $100,000 was raised for the film's production.
Since then, Tango Underpants has screened nationally and internationally via the festival circuit, TV broadcast, and a select number of exclusive sales to outlets such as QANTAS and SBS2. It has screened at Palm Springs International Film Festival, Flickerfest, St Kilda Film Festival, Newport Beach Film Festival and will screen at Cannes 2015 as part of the Cinephiles program this year.

"Danny and Annie" from StoryCorpsDanny Perasa and his wife, Annie, came to StoryCorps to recount their twenty-seven-year romance. As they remember their life together from their first date to Danny's final days with terminal cancer, these remarkable Brooklynites personify the eloquence, grace, and poetry that can be found in the voices of everyday people when we take the time to listen.

DIX από τους Jules Janaud, Fabrice le Nezet και Francois Roisin (Bif)Παραγωγή: Autour de Minuit

CGI VFX Short Film HD: "The Origin of Creatures" by Floris KaaykAn awesomely creepy animated short film by the talented Filmmaker, and Visual artist Floris Kaayk! A futuristic vision of a world after a catastrophic disaster. In this dark parable mutated limbs are looking for cooperation, but due to miscommunication this mission is doomed to fail.
The storyline of The Origin of Creatures is based on one of the most well-known tales about collaboration, the Tower of Babel. This tale is transformed and twisted and is set in an imaginary future, after the world is hit by a catastrophe. Among the remains of a devastated city lives that what is left of humanity. Human bodies are divided into separated parts of the body and are fused to special beings. Together, these creatures form a colony, they can only survive when collaborating. In the rubble of destroyed buildings they are trying to build a nest as large and as high as possible, so that the colony's queen gets enough sunlight to reproduce, but due to miscommunication this mission is doomed to fail.

Chris Landreth - Ryan (Exclusive) - OvationRyan, directed by Chris Landreth, is an animated tribute to Canadian animator Ryan Larkin. Thirty years ago, at the National Film Board of Canada, Ryan produced some of the most influential animated films of his time. In Ryan we hear the voice of Ryan Larkin and people who have known him, but these voices speak through strange, twisted, broken and disembodied 3D generated characters... people whose appearances are bizarre, humorous or disturbing. Although incredibly realistic and detailed, Ryan was created and animated without the use of live action footage, rotoscoping or motion capture...but instead from an original, personal, hand animated three-dimensional world which Chris calls 'psychological realism'.
