FASHIONALLY Presentation: SFZ & SONSFZ & SON is the label designed by Sonic Lam for his Start From Zero team mates, who need functional, durable workwear with a lot of pockets to carry tools. The style is relaxed and American, but Lam has also added some local elements to reflect their unique culture and habits. At the FASHIONALLY Presentation, Lam showcased his Spring/Summer 2020 collection “The Happy Worker”. His teammates from Start from Zero joined the show to demonstrate their versatile creative talent.
FASHIONALLY Presentation: Fake FanThis year, Nelson Leung and Kurt Ho co-launch a new label, “Fake Fan”, as an outlet for a completely different aesthetic.
Its debut collection is inspired by Hong Kong cinema in the ‘70s and ‘80s, including action movies, police dramas and Stephen Chow comedies. Their FASHIONALLY Presentation was set in an old cinema, with models watching a “movie” filled with messages that reflect the designers’ thoughts on the world today, which can be comedic, serious or anything in between.
FASHIONALLY Presentation: Charlotte Ng StudioThe debut collection from Charlotte Ng Studio is titled “Fem-mannish”, referring to its combination of feminine and masculine styles. The designer believes that Hong Kong women can be in high-powered positions yet still remain elegant and feminine while also capable of being very physical. The collection shows this duality combining two very different looks in one outfit.
