8 Qualities of Effective Spiritual LeadersTake eight minutes to invest in your leadership as you listen in as I provide equipping for the staff I lead at the Georgia Baptist Mission Board. In this webinar I delivered to my staff, you will hear the portion where I share what I have observed over the years to be the key qualities of spiritual leaders.
Dr. Thom Rainer has described Steve Parr as “one of the brightest minds alive today on church issues.” In thirty plus years of ministry he has assisted thousands of churches in strengthening their ministries by motivating and training leaders through seminars, conferences, preaching, and personal consultations. The Georgia Baptist Mission Board utilizes his skills not only in assisting local churches but in leading the missionary staff as the Vice-President of Staff Coordination and Development. He is currently leading an initiative on behalf of the Mission Board to challenge churches to focus on reaching the next generation. http://reachingnextgen.com
Dr. Parr has served with distinction in local churches as a staff member as well as the interim pastor of more than a dozen congregations. He has a Masters of Divinity Degree in Christian Education from New Orleans Baptist Theological Seminary and a Doctor of Ministry degree in Church Growth and Evangelism from The Southern Baptist Theological Seminary. He was featured on the twentieth anniversary of the Billy Graham School of Evangelism of Southern Seminary as one of twenty alumni making a Great Commission impact around the world.
His influence has been multiplied as author of several best-selling books on small group leadership, evangelism, and his novel; The Coffee Shop That Changed a Church. His newest book is based on a national research project of young adults who grew up attending church. While much has been written about those who have dropped out, Parr has written a powerful book that focuses on those who have “stayed” rather than “strayed.”
