Reigning FedExCup champion Dustin Johnson headlines a Vivint Houston Open field that also features past FedExCup winners Henrik Stenson, Brandt Snedeker, and Texas native Jordan Spieth. Lanto Griffin will defend his first PGA TOUR title at Memorial Park Golf Course, which has been totally redesigned for 2020 and will be part of the TOUR schedule for the first time since 1963. Griffin held off Scott Harrington and Mark Hubbard, a trio of Korn Ferry Tour graduates from the season prior, for his first PGA TOUR victory last year. The Vivint Houston Open will also be the first TOUR event in the U.S. since THE PLAYERS Championship to have spectators on site. The event, for 2020-21, was moved from October to November to accommodate the changes to the schedule due to COVID-19.

This was certainly the case in my latest golf lesson. Andrew, a senior golfer at the club had been losing distance with his driver and irons for the past few years, He had sited a lack of flexibility and an ageing body as the reason.
However, Andrew had fallen into the trap I see with so many golfers. Unbeknown to him the things he had been working on to hit driver straight and strike his irons were actually locking his swing.
Years of doing this had led to a restricted turn in the backswing and his golf downswing was so inconsistent that he couldn't stop hitting the ground behind the ball with his irons and slicing his driver.
But all was not lost, we made one simple adjustment to his golf swing and it unlocked the whole thing.
