History of the Seventh day Adventist ChurchA quick overview of the history of the Seventh-day Adventist Church.
Check out this quick overview of the history of the Seventh-day Adventist Christian Church, following the major Biblical prophecies in the books of Daniel and Revelation. This is an exert (film trailer) from a documentary called 'Go Forward' produced by The Final Movement, on early Christian church history, the Protestant Reformation of the Christian church, and the history and development of the Seventh-day Adventist (SDA) Church and its end-time message. It focusses on "The Great Commission" where Jesus instructs His disciples to take the Gospel message of the Good News of Christ into all the world, baptising people and making more disciples. The spread of Christianity is the sharing of the Good News of Jesus death and resurrection. Jesus is coming back soon.
The documentary "Go Forward" was produced by The Final Movement (www.thefinalmovement.com) for the NNSW Conference of Seventh-day Adventists. Go Forward narration by SDA Pastor Allan Lindsay (Keepers of the Flame series).
Thanks to Nick Lindsay for his awesome graphics and animation.

A Visit to Chicago“Juanfer Monsalve, a recent seminary graduate, has been asked by Georgia-Cumberland conference to plant a church for second generation Hispanics in Chattanooga . Because Pastor Monsalve’s church doesn’t fit in to either a traditional Spanish or Anglo church plant, he has few models to draw from. When given an opportunity to hang out for a weekend at Epic second generation church plant in Chicago, Monsalve immediately accepts. In this video documentary we watch through Juanfer’s eyes as a brand new church take shape in Chicago designed from the ground up to be a contemporary multi-cultural discipleship factory. Juanfer sees the Seventh-day Adventist message repackaged with new relevancy, authenticity, and vulnerability. He returns to Chattanooga with a refined vision and inspiration knowing that he is not the only one in the world planting churches for second generation immigrants.”
A Visit to Glenville Adventist ChurchGeoff Crowley, a seminary student, is struggling with how the Seventh-day Adventist Church can be contextualized for the next generation. He has seen some failures in his past and when he gets a chance to check out Glenville’s transition he readily accepts. In this video documentary we watch through Geoff’s eyes as lay leaders in their 60’s have graciously handed off their church to upcoming generations. Geoff sees a growing church filled with passionate young adults who are transforming the Glenville community. He returns to seminary with firsthand knowledge that the Seventh-day Adventist church can still be a powerful force for new generations. He is now faced with the challenge of taking the leadership principles so powerfully lived out in Pastor MyRon Edmund’s life and applying them to his first church.
The vision for One Year in Mission came out of the church’s desire to maximize the interest and passion of Seventh-day Adventist youth for mission and to provide greater opportunities for our youth to directly engage in leadership, decision-making, and in the proclamation of the Everlasting Gospel.

The project is divided into phases:

The first phase runs from January to June of 2013. During this time, 14 young adults from each of the world church’s 13 regions and the Middle East North Africa region will form the first pilot volunteer task force in New York City. They will undergo training in community service, communication, and evangelism.

In the second phase, the 14 volunteers will return to their home countries and serve as key personnel in the setting up of volunteer task forces in major cities chosen by their respective leaders. The process will then be duplicated in the local regions in 2015, and by God’s grace, there will be an explosion of One Year in Mission participants worldwide.
