Steps:
1. Mix 1:1 glue to water
2. Flip bowl and cover with plastic wrap
3. Soak doily in glue and water mixture
4. Drape and flatten over bowl
5. Let dry 12-24 hours
6. Use as is or apply a thin coat of spray paint

This may look similar to the other ones on the internet, but this one is different. It spins! By using a $4 lazy susan bearing from the hardware store, you can make yours so much more functional! My display alone cost less than $10 (- the lazy susan)!!! You can even make you're for less using things at home or the $1 store =) happy crafting!!!

"For those that are wondering on the strength of the bond with hot glue, it is important to have a good glue bead and a clean and warmed surface that you will be gluing on. If it is brand new glass or glazed porcelain, you will need to rough up the area being bonded with fine sand paper to give the glue something to bite on. Luckily these well used glass pieces were pre loved and pre-scratched up. A good high temp glue gun will give you more time to work with the bond then a low temp gun. The low temp cheap hot glue guns suck and will not get the glue to properly bond a glass to glass surface. Also, be sure to buy the good glue sticks. If all else fails, E-6000 or shoe goo glue will work awesome but will take 24hr's to fully cure." -Eric The Cameraguy

Here is another decor project I did the other night. I hope this tutorial brings out your creativity! You definitely do not have to make your tray filled with glitter like me. I have been on a glitter spree for my dressing room theme. I want you to put your own twist to this. If you try this project, send a photo to make my day!
P.S. This is the first time in long while that my fiance helped me film some of the footage. Usually, It takes me forever to film by myself so tell Christian if he did ok!??? He would like to film more if I let him. LOL

Hey everyone!
I don't know about you but whenever winter approaches I tend to wear a lot more monochrome outfits so I decided to make some monochrome room decor to make my room more wintery haha. So today I have 3 easy room decor ideas to share with you guys. I hope you enjoy the video! Also this is my first voiceover so tell me if it helps or if I should just stick to diy's with text.

GEOMETRIC WALL DECAL-
Washi Tape- Staples 4$ (I used one of these and one roll of electrical tape because I ran out so buy three of these)
Electrical Tape- Had at home (The washi tape is easier to work with though so I would recommend that)
MINI TAPESTRY-

The original diy idea came from this blog post (http://www.designsponge.com/2013/06/diy-eames-inspired-mobile.html) I decided to film
this anyways though because I didn't understand their instructions on how they attached all the pieces together.
TIPS:
1) I would definetely recommend using washi tape over electrical tape because electrical tape stretches and may damage your walls but washi tape is perfectly safe and much easier to work with
2) You can spray paint the mobile before or after you are done, I would recommend both so you know that it's fully spray painted. If you spray paint it only before then some of the paint might chip off when attaching the wire

DIY Wall Art | Home Decor ProjectThis DIY Wall art will be perfect anywhere in the home, or even as a gift!

Things You'll Need:
- Wood Plank (I used 11"x24" plank from Lowe's)
- Wood Stain (Color used "walnut")
- Picture Hangers (This can be found in your local department store)
- Small Paint Brush
- Regular Paint Brush
- Scissor
- Crochet Thread
- Clear Garbage Bag (regular will work just fine!)
- Nails (I believe mine are half inch nails)
- Charcoal
- White Paint
- Artist/Painter's Tape
- Hammer
- Quote/Saying Printout
- Sander
Instructions:
Create one large banner by folding the edges of the quote and then tape it together.
Prep your work area by cutting the garbage bag and placing over your entire workstation BEFORE staining the wood.
*make sure everything is covered because the color will stain!*
Prep the wood by sanding in the direction of the grain, clean off the dust, and begin to stain! Apply a generous amount, and let the stain soak in for about 10 minutes, or whatever your direction says. Set to the side and allow it to dry for several hours.
I was going to use a utility knife to cut out the words, and use the negative space as a template, but I felt that would've taken way too long! Instead, I traced the words on the back of the banner with a generous amount of charcoal.
Next, place the banner on top of the wood, tape down with the painter's tape, then begin to trace with a graphite pencil. When you're finished tracing the quote (on the paper), re-trace the quote on the wood with the graphite.
When you're done, gently wipe off the charcoal residue from the wood. You will be left with a light pencil outline.
Cut the heart and tape it into place with the painter's tape.
With the smallest paint brush you have, begin to paint the quote! This took me around 2 hours to complete.
When the paint is dry, you can start to do the heart string art! Hammer in the nails, beginning at the bottom of the heart working your way around. I eyeballed about .25 inch between each nail. You can definitely use a ruler and measure if you prefer.
When you're done, remove the paper heart and tie a double knot around the bottom needle with crochet thread. *DO NOT USE YARN!* It will fray and frizz and won't look as nice and clean as the crochet thread.
Loop the thread around the heart then loop around random needles. There's no technique to this, but do keep pressing the thread down, toward the wood plank.
When you're satisfied with the results, I recommend looping around the perimeter once more to secure the heart/thread in place. Tie a double knot, then cut off the excess.
Add picture hanger strips to each corner and you're done!
