Moving Excel Data into Access with VBATo do so, you can start at either end: You can export data from Excel into Access by using VBA code in Excel, or you can import data from Excel by using VBA code in Access. Take your pick.
Excel Data to Access TableThis tutorial covers the steps in importing an Excel 2010 worksheet into an Access 2010 table. It also covers creating a formula that combines the first and last name field separated with an underscore that is all upper case and ends with and exclamation point. This creates the Primary Key field. Formula looks like this =UPPER(CONCATENATE(B2,"_",A2,"!")) B2 is lastname, A2 is firstname.
Also, I cover the steps in cleaning up the phone number field with some quick and easy steps. Great time savers.
Importing data into tables and linking the tables in Access 2010In this video I will show how to import data into Access from Excel or .csv file adding the data to an already designed table and creating new tables. Additionally, it shows how to link the tables after having specified the primary and foreign keys.

Visio Webinars: BPMN, Swimlanes, Flowcharts and SharePoint WorkflowsThe single most common use of Visio is to create flowcharts and Visio 2010 makes it easier, faster and more intuitive to do so. However, a flowchart is just one of the types of logic or process diagrams you can create with Visio. This seminar will begin by demonstrating some of the Visio 2010 features that make it so easy to create flowcharts: AutoConnect, QuickShapes, AutoAlign, AutoAdd and AutoDelete. Then you'll learn about significant improvements in Visio swimlane diagrams and will see how the same rapid flowcharting techniques can also apply to swimlanes. Because flowcharts and swimlanes are only the beginning with Visio 2010, you will also learn how to create diagrams that conform to both the 1.2 and 2.0 versions of the Business Process Modeling Notation (BPMN) standard as well as how to create SharePoint workflows using Visio's traditional drag and drop style.
• Flowcharts -- easier and faster than ever
• AutoConnect
• QuickShapes
• AutoAlign and AutoSpace
• AutoAdd and AutoDelete
• Cross-functional Flowcharts, aka Swimlane Diagrams
• New features demonstrated for flowcharts also work in swimlane diagrams
• Inserting, arranging and managing swimlanes is easier because they are containers
• Automatically using swimlane header in swimlane shapes
• Visio reports to show which steps are performed by each role or function
• Business Process Modeling Notation (BPMN)
• The growing importance of BPMN for representing work processes
• Creating BPMN diagrams in Visio
• Unique attributes of Visio's BPMN shapes
• Subprocesses
• SharePoint Workflow
• Creating SharePoint workflows in Visio
• Exporting workflows to SharePoint Designer for execution
• Importing workflows from SharePoint Designer

Scalable Internet Architectures - Theo SchlossnagleTheo provides insight into the process of building scalable internet based services.
Managing Change: Using Analytics to Optimize Supply Chain Management PerformanceIn a fast-paced, highly competitive and global economy, organizations that manufacture can't afford lackluster performance. They need to be able to respond to change in customer and supplier demands while juggling operational efficiency without sacrificing quality. When the economy is as turbulent as it is, cost control, efficiency and agility are paramount.
Organizations have invested millions in ERP systems and supporting applications to help them improve the transactional performance of their increasingly complex and global supply chain. But these systems don't deliver the true supply chain visibility and analytics that managers need.
The business value of supply chain analytics is simple: it helps you understand your company's performance. It leads you to take action on recent information and creates a common context for decision-making across every department and at every level. It provides the insight your organization needs to optimize the supply chain, so you can anticipate problems before they happen, understand the reasons behind results and improve performance.
