CRC GDI IVD Intake Valve & Turbo Cleaner increases power and torque, stabilizes rough idle, solves rough starting problems, reduces emissions, improves fuel economy.
Cleaning is needed every 10,000 miles or at every oil change to prevent deposit buildup.
Remember, gasoline additives don't reach intake valves on GDI engines!
How To Use CRC GDI Intake Valve & Turbo CleanerIn the past decade, Gasoline Direct Injection engines have become extremely popular with both domestic and import auto manufacturers. Compared to conventional fuel injection, GDI can deliver improved fuel efficiency, more power from smaller engines, and reduced emissions at low load. That’s great! But the popularity of GDI engines has brought back an old service issue – carbon deposits that can rob drivers of horsepower, gas mileage, and smooth operation.
CRC has created a GDI carbon deposit solution that allows you to tackle the problem quickly, easily, and at a very reasonable cost.
CRC GDI IVD Intake Valve & Turbo Cleaner is an aerosol spray that’s applied through the engine’s air intake or throttle body and delivered directly to the backs of the GDI intake valves. CRC GDI Valve & Turbo Cleaner contains the highest concentration of PEA available on the market to provide the fastest, most thorough chemical cleaning available. A single application removes up to 46 percent of carbon deposits in the first 60 minutes.
First, just as you would with any product, read the entire product label before using, so you can understand the instructions and the safety guidelines. Next, warm up the engine. CRC GDI Valve & Turbo Cleaner requires a period of heat soak to work, so you want to start with an engine that’s fully warmed up. Locate the throttle body or air intake and spray product directly through the throttle body. If the throttle body is not easily accessible, spray PAST the mass air flow sensor. But do not spray into the mass air flow sensor assembly. You can also remove the air flow sensor assembly and spray where the sensor is mounted. If the vehicle is turbocharged, you can remove the boost sensor in the charge pipe and spray into the pipe. If it’s easier you can also spry into the vacuum port. Lift the PermaStraw dual-action spray system and lock it into place…. with the engine running at 2000 RPM, spray in short bursts until the can is empty. Once the can is empty, rev the engine 2 to 3 times, but tell them not to exceed 3500 RPM. Run at idle for one minute and then turn the engine off. Reassemble the air intake system and let the engine heat soak for a full hour. The heat soak is critical, so be patient, and let the CRC GDI Valve & Turbo Cleaner do its work. After the hour is up, restart the engine and drive at highway speeds for at least 10 minutes. And remember, as our test show the maximum benefit is achieved when the vehicle is driven regularly over the next several days. So, let your customer know they should drive their car regularly over the next week or so. If you have a vehicle with severe carbon buildup, CRC GDI Valve & Turbo Cleaner can even be used in successive treatments. Just have your customer drive about a thousand miles before a second treatment, in order to get the full benefit of the first treatment.
How To Remove Carbon From Intake Valves & Turbos Using CRC GDI IVD® Intake Valve & Turbo CleanerGDI engines deliver increased power, performance and gas mileage. GDI, or gas direct injection engines, are great engines but they need a bit more periodic maintenance. If you drive one of these vehicles, this is important. Because of their design these engines need treatment with CRC GDI IVD Intake Valve and Turbo Cleaner every 10,000 miles. Here’s why. In traditional port fuel injection or PFI engines, the gasoline washes over the valves, cleaning them in the process. In GDI engines, gasoline is injected directly into the cylinder so it never comes in contact with the intake valves. Without that constant cleaning action, harmful carbon deposits build up on the valves. The result is reduced performance and loss of power. Chunks of carbon can even break off and cause damage to engines and other components. Some methods of removing the carbon involve costly labor- intensive processes. CRC solves this problem easily and affordably with its GDI IVD Intake Valve and Turbo Cleaner, which safely dissolves the carbon deposits without requiring engine teardown. It’s also proven to clean turbo impellers for better turbo performance. Use it every 10,000 miles or before every oil change. Do it yourself or have it done by your local service center. The result will be improved performance and longer engine life for your vehicle.

CAR FIX TV SHOW CRC GDI IVD Intake Valve CleanerCRC makes an intake valve cleaner for your GDI engine. GDI = gasoline direct injection. That means the gasoline is shot straight to the cylinders unlike your carburetor engines or your older throttle body injection where the gasoline actually washes over the intake valves, keeping them clean - which means the carbon doesn't allow it to build up on it - which means you have good compression. So what you need to do on your GDI engine is spray some CRC in it. This way you can clean the engine out. Better performance and you don't have to tear it down because of carbon build up.

CRC Intake Valve Cleaner on Motorhead Garage Industry UpdateNewer cars with gasoline direct injected engines get to run a little rough after 5,000-10,000 miles. They build up a lot of carbon particularly on the intake valve because they no longer have the injector and the intake manifold washing that valve. It carbons up and your vehicle loses power, performance and fuel economy.
New CRC GDI IVD™ Intake Valve Cleaner reaches the intake valves at 150X the concentration of premium fuel additives. It’s easy to use - go behind the mass air flow sensor, put the Permastraw into the intake system, spray a 30-second blast with the engine at 2,000 RPMs. CRC Intake Valve Cleaner lifts the carbon off the back side and the face of the intakes valves, helps to clean up the combustion chamber and restores power and performance. Also great for standard PFI gasoline engines! For more info and a $5 rebate, go to http://crcintakevalvecleaner.com
CRC Intake Valve Cleaner on The Daily Buzz 8-20-2014CRC just introduced brand new technology in a product called CRC GDI IVD™ Intake Valve Cleaner.
GDI stands for Gasoline Direct Injection and we’re seeing it on more and more vehicles from top auto makers like Ford, Buick, Honda, Toyota, Kia, BMW and several others.
GDI engines are popular because they have better combustion, resulting in more power and cleaner emissions. And they use less fuel!
GDI engines inject fuel directly into the cylinders for combustion, bypassing the intake valves. And because GDI engines run hotter and harder than conventional PFI (port fuel injected) engines, they’re prone to harmful carbon deposits; especially on intake valves. But you can’t reach GDI intake valves with a fuel additive product, so you need something more.
Even in a newer vehicle, after just 10,000-15,000 miles deposits start to build up and they can really affect your vehicle’s performance.
Some symptoms are hard starting, rough idle, poor acceleration, reduced fuel economy, power loss and excess emissions.
CRC developed a product to clean intake valves in both GDI and PFI engines. For GDI the benefit is that you can now clean those intake valves without needing a technician to disassemble your engine – that's an expensive proposition! Instead you can spray CRC Intake Valve Cleaner into the air intake – and you’re going to notice a difference even in the first hour after you use the product.
Conventional PFI engines don’t have as severe a problem with deposit buildup, but if you haven’t been using fuel additives on a regular basis you’re still accumulating deposits that will affect your engine’s performance. CRC Intake Valve Cleaner reaches the intake valves at 150X the concentration of premium fuel additives, so you’re going to get a real deep clean right where you need it and gain back your power and fuel economy.

CRC Throttle Body & Air Intake Cleaner Instructional VideoThe throttle body in the air intake system controls the air that flows into the engine. The amount of air depends on the position of the gas pedal. If you press the pedal harder then the throttle plate opens wider to give the engine more air, resulting in more power and increased speed.
Eventually, dirt, carbon and other debris buildup inside the throttle body on the throttle plate and butterfly valve, reducing airflow and causing parts to stick. When this happens, you may experience noise at higher engine speeds, fluctuating idle or stalling, rough or slow acceleration, and higher emissions. Throttle Body and Air Intake Cleaner from CRC Industries effectively cleans and removes power robbing gums from air intake components on fuel-injected vehicles.
With the engine off, remove the air intake duct to expose the throttle body. It may be necessary to remove the mass air flow sensor. Place a rag under the throttle body to collect run off. Spray CRC Throttle Body and Air Intake Cleaner in 3 to 5 short bursts, not continuously, manually moving the butterfly valve back and forth as you spray.
Many vehicles have electronic throttle control and use drive-by-wire technology to connect the throttle to the pedal. However, if your vehicle has a throttle cable or linkage, be sure to clean that as well. Brush parts inside and out with a toothbrush then re-spray and wipe down.
If you removed the mass air flow sensor, you may want to take this opportunity to clean it with CRC Mass Air Flow Sensor Cleaner. Reassemble the mass air flow sensor, air intake duct and filter.
With CRC Throttle Body & Air Intake Cleaner, you’ll experience easier starting, and smoother, more efficient engine performance.

Treat Your Fuel System
If your car has lost some of its power and the gas mileage is dwindling, you may need to clean out your fuel system.
Yes, it can be overwhelming to see shelves and shelves of fuel system cleaners at your auto parts store and many of them have to be used every time you fill up with gas! So here's how to keep things simple:
CRC 1-TANK Power Renew is a concentrated one-tank cleanup, used only 4 times a year, that cleans out the deposits that build up inside the fuel system with regular every day driving.
It's super easy to use and even comes with a funnel in the box, so it takes seconds to do the "service" and then you are done for the next 4,000-5,000 miles. Just add it to the tank every time your vehicle is due for an oil change.
CRC GDI IVD™ Intake Valve Cleaner on MAV tv's Two Guys GarageAs seen on Two Guys Garage on MAV tv: Ground Breaking Technology designed for Direct Injection motors!
Ok from CRC Industries this is Intake Valve Cleaner, designed for direct injection motors. Now what happens in direct injection motors is the air and fuel actually come in down stream of the valve but because the PVC system you always have this oil vapor hitting that hot valve and coke sticking to it. Because of this ground breaking technology you can actually spray this cleaner right by the MAF Sensor and it hits that valve at 115 times the concentration of something you would add in your fuel. Check it out from CRC Industries, their Intake Valve Cleaner for direct injection motors.
CRC GDI IVD™ Intake Valve Cleaner Instructional VideoIt’s a fact that deposits form in every fuel system, but the amount and how quickly they form depend on the quality of fuel and oil used, on personal driving styles and on engine type.
GDI engines are particularly prone to rapid build-up of fuel deposits because they’re never cooled or washed with fuel. Deposits can form in as few as 5,000 to 10,000 miles, restricting proper airflow and increasing engine operating temperatures. These harmful fuel deposits cause a variety of problems, preventing your vehicle from operating properly. Unlike common fuel additives that are diluted into fuel before reaching critical fuel system components, GDI IVD Intake Valve Cleaner from CRC Industries is sprayed directly into the air intake system. This powerful cleaner hits the back of the intake valves at 150 times the concentration of premium fuel additives. Intake Valve Cleaner is proven to remove up to 23% of carbon build-up in the first hour of use. It works in all gas-powered engines, not just GDI. When using Intake Valve Cleaner from CRC, time consuming and costly engine teardown is no longer required to clean intake valves, especially on GDI engines where previously, engine teardown was the only option.
Apply GDI IVD Intake Valve Cleaner with the engine running and at operating temperature. The unique PermaStraw actuator locks into place, preventing the straw from being drawn into the air intake. Remove the air filter cover and locate the MAF sensor between the air box and throttle body. Have someone rev the engine to about 2000 rpms and, engage or lift the PermaStraw Dual-Action Spray System and insert past the MAF sensor. It’s very important that you do not spray the product in front of the MAF sensor. This could cause the system to throw a code.
You may need to disassemble the air intake to spray the product past the MAF sensor. Again, with the engine running at 2000 rpms, spray the product into the air intake behind the MAF sensor, spraying continuously in 30-second intervals until the can is empty. If necessary, accelerate slightly during the application to avoid stalling but don’t exceed 3500 rpms. When the can is empty, accelerate the engine 2 to 3 times but no higher than 3500 rpms. Run at idle for one minute and, then turn the engine off.
After application, reassemble the air intake system and let the engine “heat-soak” for an hour. Restart the engine and drive at highway speeds for about 10 minutes. Using CRC Intake Valve Cleaner will increase power and torque. It stabilizes rough idle and solves rough starting problems. It is highly effective for all gasoline engines and regular use will reduce emissions and improve fuel economy.

Intake Valve Cleaning Volkswagen CRC GDI IVD® Intake Valve CleanerVolkswagen TSI & FSI Engines deliver increased power, performance and gas mileage. They are GDI or gasoline direct injection engines, they're great engines but then need a bit more periodic maintenance. Because of their design, they need treatment with CRC GDI IVD Intake Valve Cleaner every 10,000 miles. Here's why. In traditional port fuel injection or PFI engines, the gasoline washes over valves, cleaning them in the process. Some methods of removing the carbons involve costly labor intensive processes. CRC Mass Air Flow (MAF) Sensor Cleaner Instructional VideoMost fuel-injected vehicles are equipped with a mass air flow sensor, or “MAF” sensor to measure the amount and density of air entering the engine. This is information the computer uses to determine how much fuel to inject into the engine for combustion as air enters the cylinders. Ignition timing is also affected. The MAF sensor wire gets dirty with accumulated debris, oil, air filter fibers, dust and pollen. This can cause inaccurate readings and negatively affect the air to fuel ratio.
Signs of a dirty MAF sensor could be a check engine light. You may experience a loss of power, stalling, rough idle. Your engine may also be running rich and producing excess emissions. The original Mass Air Flow Sensor Cleaner from CRC Industries is a unique precision cleaner specifically developed to clean sensitive components in MAF sensors without damaging or degrading plastic or painted surfaces.
Use CRC Mass Air Flow Sensor Cleaner with the engine off. Always wear gloves and eye protection, and insert the straw into the nozzle before an application. Remove the air filter to gain access to the MAF sensor located between the air box and the throttle body. It is recommended that you remove the sensor for best cleaning, but it’s not absolutely necessary. Place a towel under the MAF to catch any run-off. Using the straw attachment, apply 10 to 15 short bursts of CRC Mass Air Flow Sensor Cleaner to the hotwire or the hot plate. Be careful not to let the straw, or anything else come in contact with hotwire. Keep the end of the straw 4 to 5 inches from the hotwire. Be sure to spray all sides of the MAF sensor and clean all wires and connectors. Reassemble the MAF and allow to dry thoroughly before restarting the engine.
Often, technicians will try to use throttle body, carburetor, or brake parts cleaners to clean sensitive MAF sensor components. However, these aggressive cleaners can be damaging to plastic, which most MAF sensors are housed in today. If the plastic degrades or warps, the MAF hotwire can shift and malfunction, resulting in expensive repairs. Use only the original Mass Air Flow Sensor Cleaner from CRC Industries to safely clean the delicate components of the sensor. Regular use will restore horsepower, reduce rough idle, decrease hesitation and pinging and improve gas mileage.
