This was Transformative!
Last night we hosted a lovely concert by Andy Wasserman, and I just have to say an amazing thing happened. I took an hour to just "BE" and relax and enjoy the show. Not only the music, but how the music made me feel. It was relaxing and an almost spiritual experience as I set aside an hour for myself to enjoy this. Maybe it's because it's been such a busy few months and there's been so much at stake this past year. Whatever your reason, I urge you all to take a moment and spend it on yourself.
If you're so inclined you have the opportunity to watch last night's concert as Andy is leaving it up on his site and accepting donations on behalf of the Sussex County Food Co-op, until midnight tonight, 11/22/20. Take a moment to listen and you'll see what I mean. Even if you don't plan on staying for the whole hour, I'm sure once you start, you won't want it to end.
Additionally, Andy has extended his offer if anyone wants to post a secure donation to the Food Co-op via his website, the donate button above the streaming video will be active until midnight tonight. So feel free to donate if you're able. All donations go to helping the Co-op, just as many small businesses have gone through incredible financial hardship as a result of the Covid crisis..
I'm now a fan of our beloved Mr. Wasserman, and plan on attending his weekly broadcasts. These are the first three of a set of songs that explores the Seven Vertical Scales of the Lydian Chromatic Concept of Tonal Organization—a tribute to the Concept’s creator, George Russell.

The Lydian Flat Seventh, The Lydian Auxiliary Augmented, the Auxiliary Diminished Scale, and the Auxiliary Diminished Blues Scales originate from the 10, 11, and 12 tone order of the Lydian Chromatic Scale's "Western Order of Tonal Gravity."

In this sonic exploration of solo piano artistry, Andy pays tribute in his signature style with these original compositions to the Seven Vertical Scales at the heart of George Russell's ground-breaking theoretical music masterwork on "The Lydian Chromatic Concept of Tonal Organization - the art and science of Tonal Gravity." This recording is a tribute in resonance to the monumental keystone that is George Russell's life's work and his contribution to all music and music theory.
Each spontaneous composition explores one scale at a time. This unique approach allows the listener to hear the voice, color and character of each Vertical Chord-Producing Parent Scale in the specific order from Ingoing to Outgoing as they exist in close-to-distant relationship to the center of tonal gravity, The Lydian Tonic.
