Story behind TPG's "Story of My Life"
As we began our arrangement of One Direction's "Story of My Life" we wanted it to feel like each note of the music was a word in a vivid story being told. When writing a song sometimes you just need a little spark. That catalyst came from a piece of classical music -- one that had such a "storybook feel" to it that we gleaned inspiration from it: Saint-Saëns' "Aquarium" from his Suite "Carnival of the Animals." When we were finished we all stepped back and listened as objectively as we could, imagining what sort of story was being told in order to identify the best places to film. Ahhhhhhh so I did something that really scared me for this video... I filmed this video with my Minimal Make-Up look!!! I am wearing almost NO make up; just some foundation and mascara!!! To go along with the message of this song I decided to show ya'll a side of me that I never have in a video before :)
Make up is fun and can be such a cool thing to use in my videos but for a while I thought that I wasn't pretty without make up on and so I never left the house without it!! I have spent the last year re-training myself to see the beauty in my natural stripped down look and I totally recommend this to EVERY body!! I really only use make up for videos and shows now and I try to put it away for the rest of the time!! I'm not saying there is anything wrong with wanting to doll yourself up and feel amazing for the night BUT it's important to embrace your inner and natural beauty so that you don't feel any less beautiful when the makeup comes off!!!
